Answer This:

I’ve had some tough news this week and sometimes, a lucky charm comes into use even if it is just the placebo effect. So I want to ask you

What is your lucky charm?

I guess I don’t have any material things that I see as a lucky charm. Maybe if someone ever got round to buying me jewellery, instead of chocolate that they just end up eating themselves *side eye*

In which case I would have to say my little lucky charm is Megan, star of You Tube.

We watch TV together on Saturday and every time she says, “Oh my god, what IS she wearing?” it warms my heart.

Follow me on Twitter and retweet (RT) the following message:

RT @cosmetic_candy: RT to Win one of 2 Eyeshadow Palettes. For info go to –

I will count both entries via Twitter and via Commenting.

Winner announced NEXT WEEK!

Good Luck!

My lucky charm is a claddagh ring one of my best friends gave to me many years ago. I wouldn’t call it so much lucky, as it is meaningful – the meaning behind it makes me smile whenever I see it. I’ve worn it for years and never taken it off. Being so special to me, I just feel lucky to have a great friend and it makes me FEEL lucky, even if I’m not. It reminds me that no matter where I go, no matter what the distance is between us, we will always have friendship, love and a special bond between us. She has a matching one, and in hard times we can know that neither of us are really alone.

My lucky charm(s) are my children. I wear 3 stacking rings with their names on everywhere I go. Luck comes to those who love, and I love them with all my heart.

Now this is going to sound very fangirl, but my lucky charm is Robert Pattinson. It started as a joke between friends about praying to our lord RPattz when we wanted something, until it actually started working! Now if I want something badly, I ask Rob to help me get it and also find it helps to watch one of his movies, or ogle a photo of him. I’d say this has a 95% success rate of getting me what I want. Plus luck is as good a reason as any to have a perv at Mr Pattinson!

I Have a lucky pen which seems to work. It’s a Parker Harlequin which my husband bought me in the 70s!!

My lucky charm is an old toy clown. I gave it to my godmother when I was a toddler and 30yrs later she left it for me in her will. It looked as good as when I gave it to her all those years ago, and it reminds me of how much she loved me. When things are going wrong I look at it (and cuddle it) and count my blessings for what has gone right in my life.

Mine is rather unfortunate – it’s an old baggy saggy jumper that I was given a LOT of years ago. I wore it to pass my driving test, and I had it on when I got my one and only lottery win (only ¬£500 so not life changing sadly!) Trouble is, I look like a bag lady when I wear it!

My lucky charm is a little brown glass dog with a chipped ear, bought from a street market many years ago in Bulgaria. I’ve often wondered what its history was and whether it brought its previous owner luck. Hope it brings me luck in your lovely competition

HMm i wish i did have a lucky charm that would help me through some bad news etc but i guess when things turn round such as when good things start to happen again it becomes a lucky charm i think that all bad things will be counteracted with one good thing in life and vice versa (:

  22. Fifi says

i found a coin when i was 8 and on that day i felt like everything was going my way. i don’t really believe in lucky charms yet i still carry it around with me and take it into exams with me.

My lucky charm is the panda keychain I carry in my purse. It was given to me by one of the Chinese women I taught English to, and she has two twin daughters. Every time I look at it, I think of her and her kind spirit. They moved back to China in January, but we still keep in touch through email :)

  31. Lucy Taylor says

Well I don’t have a lucky charm as such but I am OBSESSED with picking up pennies. I will happily pick pennies up off the grubby streets of Salford in the vain belief that “all day long I’ll have good luck”.

My lucky charm is my niece. Granted I can’t carry her around with me wherever I may need luck, I wear a locket that holds her picture. Even if luck doesn’t strike, I look at her & I feel lucky that I’m her aunt & she is my niece!

I don’t have a lucky charm – maybe I should get one…. my daughter seems to bring good luck though, things she is involved in seem to turn out good. :) x

  35. Kirsten T says

Megan is so young and adorable! She reminds me of the time when I was in school.
I had a lucky pen for school, which I was really bent on keeping it only for “special occasions” i.e. examinations because I was afraid of running out of the magic potion/ lucky liquid in the ink. I don’t remember what made me believe it was lucky but I really had so much faith in a very ordinary blue ballpen. totally had plans to use it to sign on all my important documents for the rest of my life, my checks, my wedding certificate, my insurance, house and car.. So much for such an important pen, I have no idea where it went.

  36. mandy says

i don’t really have a lucky charm in the sense that i believe it brings me luck, but a birthday ring from my best friend that carries the words “justbe” always encourages me of our friendship and reminds me to just be who i am.

  37. Emma says

I keep a little black coal mouse. When living in Japan I went to a Japanese ‘fortune teller’ and was told to get a realistic black mouse to help bring me luck. It’s not easy finding a realistic looking black mouse ( Mickey didn’t count) but finally found this lovely coal ornament of a mouse eating an apple – couldn’t get much blacker. I’ll let you know if it works!

  38. says

My lucky charm is a gorgeous silver bracelet that my dad gave me when I was young. Although there’s a cahrm on it that’s sharp and stabs me often, I love it!

  39. Clare says

My lucky charm… is the bracelet I wear on my left wrist everyday. Everytime I gain a new real friend I add a bead to it; having the bracelet with me helps me through thick and thin, because it’s like having those friends with me…

  40. Jess says

My lucky charm is a gold cross necklace my aunt got me for my birthday. At least I think its my lucky charm – I made it a point to wear it for important occasions in the past and I always got what I wanted then. So I guess it works!
