I’m not a cry baby – I have an innate fear/hatred of cry babies. You know the ones that cry at anything and everything – then someone dies on a soap opera – when they trap a finger nail – when they’ve run out of chocolate bourbons at Tesco.
Although I am not a cry baby I do have very very watery eyes. I was rather excited when I saw this liquid eyeliner by Ishizawa Labs that is a waterproof liquid liner – apparently you can use it to tightline!*
*Lined under your eyelashes.
Here was the demo I saw on eBay that made me buy it:
Here is the liner – bought it from eBay for about £10 inc shipping:
This is a non refillable liquid liner (boo!) and is like a soft felt tip/caligraphy pen.
The pen is very fine so you can easily do a thin line with this one. The brush is easy to use and control – no complaints there. The black is a good black, fairly true.
I tried this for what I bought it for – on the waterline. The liner came off fairly easily although it takes at least 2 lines to make it a good dark line.
The most important thing is – does it last? Well…..yes it does. It lasts better than any other liquid eyeliner I have tried before on the waterline (which normally just ends up like an Alice Cooper tribute look). I would use this with confidence on my waterline knowing it won’t run BUT – it does fade. I didn’t have a super true black line at the end of the day but I didn’t have nasty smudges.
My favourite liner for tight lining is a gel liner but sometimes there isn’t time, in which case this is my alternative.
I bought mine here.
