Kissing Day Special: Feeling Scaly? Lizard Lips Natural Lip Balm Review

The search for perfect lip balm never ends, and since it takes me 5 days to lose one, I was more than happy to get these Lizard Lips Natural Lip Balms in the post.

I hate it when a product calls itself natural and then you take one look at the ingredients and it’s full of crap!

Lizard Lips is rather good ingredients wise – it’s free from Parabens, Glutens and Petroleum. It also has a SPF22 which is great for the summer and is higher than the recent Neal’s Yard Lip Balm I bought.

Lizard Lips also comes in four flavours: Original Vanilla, Smooth Mint, Tangerine Dream and Raspberry Cream.

I love lip balms that are soft and creamy but not so rich that I can’t wear a lip colour on top. I don’t like hard or overly oily lip balms that don’t feel nourishing.

This lip balm is just lovely! It’s on the soft side – which I prefer – not everyone does, but I love how nourishing it feels when applied on the lips. And free from Petroleum toooooooo!

Now the packaging is hardly stylish, it looks like a beach bum’s lip balm – right?

But who cares – it’s a truly fabulous lip balm – love it! Now if only I could stop losing them?

Overall this lip balm does everything – it’s hydrating, but not too oily, it’s got SPF22 and avoids petroleum. This is my current lip balm of choice – I am using vanilla which is nicely scented. I also have Raspberry…somewhere.

Inactive ingredients: Aloe, Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Comfrey, Grape Seed Oil, Lanolin, Natural Flavor, Sage, Sal Butter, Shea Butter, Stevia, Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E.

Active ingredients(sunscreens): Avobenzone (Parsol 1789) 3%, Octinoxate 7.5%, Oxybenzone 6%

You can buy this for $1.59 from America’s Nutrition.

Oooh thanks. Now I know why it tastes sweet…it’s the stevia. I love the moisture and feel, but I can’t stand the flavorings and scents. I wonder if there is an alternative with similar ingredients.
