Eyeliner Week No. 3: Majolica Majorca Cream Pencil Liner Review

Welcome to a full week of eyeliner reviews from my latest finds from March 2011! Each review will be number 1 – 7.

The Majolica Majorca Cream Pencils were released with the Limited Edition Sugary Trap collection, although these are permanent additions.

The cream pencil comes in black and brown (I have both shades) and is different to the current MJ pencils ‘Jeweling Eyes’ which comes in lots of colours but I find is hard textures and not that interesting in terms of colour choices.

This ‘cream pencil’ suggests…well creamy-ness, right? In a Avon Supershock creamy gel kinda way…The packaging is typical MJ:

This pencil is actually quite a hard pencil. Where Avon Supershock melts into nothing as you applying it because it is so soft, the MJ has a hardness to it. This is a GOOD thing I assure you because whilst it is mega creamy and pigmented, the hardness means that it doesn’t run everywhere, as Avon’s does.

The finish is a little matte (I like) and it works perfectly on the waterline without much effort. This pencil is basically – brilliant. It has the right combination of hardness without being too waxy, and creamy pigmentation/ease of use.

I used this on my waterline and it stay put. Towards the end of the day even if it has moved from the waterline, it seems to fall towards the lash line (still looking very strong) but doesn’t in any way look horrible or unintentional.

Basically – if it does travel (which with my watery eyes all liners do) it doesn’t travel too far. If I have had a day without too much tearing then it does stay put on my waterline. It also works well on the top of the eye and under the lashes:

Excuse scary eyes. Huh I never noticed how odd my eye colour is.

I love it so much I bought some back ups.

Score: 5/5

This looks like a brilliant one for tight-lining, I usually get transfer from my top lash line to the bottom throughout the day, so I sometimes end up with panda eyes (especially not good if you forget to check yourself in the mirror until the end of the day and realise you’ve been walking around like that!)

      Hi Jen

I have to say this is creep a tiny tiny bit but it’s a BRILLIANT pencil, really so creamy but also a bit hard x

I totally have the transfer issue, too, with eyeliner. Every eyeliner (liquid, pencil, cream, etc.) I’ve tried transfers from my top lash line to the bottom of my eyes. Every one of them. I don’t do eyeliner or mascara on the bottom because I get enough of it from the transfer.

      Hi Pam

You should try the Koji line queen – it’s pretty fierce! It sets into almost a thin vinyl texture x

I used to have terrible transfer issues (Urban Decay 24/7 and that Avon Supershock liner that everyone is going on about = MAJOR TRANSFER below my eyes)

The only liners that I find DONT BUDGE from my top lid are PRESTIGE Total Intensity – unfortunately, they only come in 3 colours (and yes i have all three and they are my new HG.)

      Hi Penoirz

Oh yes i know what you mean I get that a lot because of my eye shape. I will totally check out the prestige!

ooh, I may try this on my top lid. I usually use pen liners but it’d be nice to be able to use a pencil liner some time.
