Etude House Proof 10 Bling In The Sea – Eye Stick Review Part 2

In my previous review, I covered the Etude House Proof 10 Bling In The Sea eyeshadow sticks – another set of colours that came out at the same time are these glitter eye sticks which are quite unusual – the look white but are actually clear with coloured glitter suspended in them.

Unlike the colour sticks there’s no sponge tip at the other end which I don’t mind as I find the applicator a waste of time and adds inches.

Here is the colour system – I chose green and pink because they look like fun.  Although these do leave quite a glittery ‘coat’ which could be worn alone they really are made for wearing on top of a base.

The colour is a really pretty iridescent mermaid-y type look. Needless to say, these are glittery but since I like colourful make up, I wouldn’t hesitate to have a little sweep of this over a base colour, especially in the summer.  It’s glittery enough to wear as party make up too but it isn’t full on glitter, if that is what you are looking for (ie. it lacks the intensity of say, a pigment glitter).

Despite the glitter they do go on smoothly and aren’t very gritty. I didn’t find them uncomfortable to wear which is rare for me as my eyes are sensitive to glitters (ie. I struggle with Nars and Barry M glitter eye pencils and if chunky glitter gets into my eye, then God help me!).

There is one big pro for this product (although it is a novelty item) – because of the base it comes with it seems to suspend nicely meaning that you don’t get all that fall out.

On a very dark brown base eyeshadow:

You can see on a plain base it works a treat and the colour glitters really stand out and change the whole look of the eyeshadow.

I put the pink glitter over the eyeshadow – I don’t know if you can see it – it’s more obvious in real like (more shimmery):

Verdict:

Overall a none essential but fun product to own and a nice way to wear glitter without the fall out. I prefer these to the colour sticks and they didn’t seem to make the eyeshadow crease more.

I purchased these for around £6 each.
