Hello one, hello all!
It has been a hectic few weeks at Casa Candy, hence the none posting for a week or two. Life just gets in the way sometimes doesn’t it? having said that I want to really catch up before this god awful year (I’m looking at you 2016) is though so expect a lot of randomness and Christmas goodness coming your way in the next few weeks.
Let me start you with something simple, yo. Etude House have a range called the “Play Sticks” which feature many colours an are multi use such as eyeliner, eyeshadow, bronzers, blushers etc. This one is a primer stick:
There’s quite a generous amount at 7g and this chunky stick can be used on the eyes, lips, face – anywhere you want priming.
This clear balm doesn’t looking oily or shiny where you apply it, and is almost traceless really. It doesn’t feel heavy either, although I don’t know if I would want to smear it all over my face – maybe just on the areas like cheeks where I apply blush as I find blusher disappears quickly on me.
I suppose the charming thing about this product is that fact that it is in stick form but can be use any where. It makes it quite a good travel companion.
Now this primer I find enhances the product applied – the colour is more pigmented, adheres better and lasts better. It does everything a primer is supposed to do. One thing I would say is that since it is a balm texture, it’s important to work it in to the skin a little, and not leave it uneven, or you could have patchy application.
You can also apply product right away or leave it a bit – I like to use it when the product has a bit of tack as then it really sticks.
Below i watched a grey eyeshadow (with crap pigmentation) and the difference in pay off with the primer is huge.
Notice how though, the primer side looks a bit patchy – that is what I mean about making sure the primer is on the skin smoothly first.
Overall I like this product although it wouldn’t replace my all over face primer, I would use it on my eyes and lips.
You get a lot of product too compared to an eye or lip specific primer!
I bought this from TesterKorea and paid around £8.
