Estee Lauder introduces 45 New Pure Colour Lipsticks: Crystal Baby & Pink Ambition Swatches

It’s new lipstick day!

Estee Lauder’s Creative Make Up Director Tom Pecheux has created a range of 45 new lipstick shades in two formulas; Long Lasting Lipstick and Crystal Lipstick.

There are 27 Long Lasting Lipsticks in Satin Creme (high pigmentation and a soft shiny finish) and Lustrous Shimmer (a multi faceted finish).

Then there are 18 Crystal Lipsticks in Sheer Creme (sheer soft shine finish) and Brilliant Shimmer (multi faced effect).

Here are the pretties! You know what I like about Estee Lauder lipsticks? The smell. It’s like champagne.

I chose a lipstick from the Long Lasting range and the Crystal range.
Since I am all for something soft and pretty for spring, I choose Pink Ambition from the Long Lasting range and Crystal Baby. Both rather sensible choices! It was hard to choose, because if you look at the colour charts below, there’s some really nice sounding shades.

There doesn’t look like there’s a ton of difference with the pigmentation although the crystal lipstick has more shine.

Pink Ambition:

This is a very pretty lipstick indeed with a super soft texture and a nice amount of pigment – not too opaque and left my lips very soft. I also concur that it lasted a good 5 hours (which my constant cups of coffee) and left a slight stain!

Crystal Baby:

Crystal baby is a soft brown/pink and it is really very natural. I love it! It’s like a nude but subtle and without the ‘dead’ look some nudes have. This is my staple colour at the moment.

Colour charts:

The colours are on sale in Harrods and will launch nationwide from the 28th February 2011. They cost £18 each.

Which colours take your fancy? Next on my wishlist would be Hint of Peach and Apricot Sun.

I’m loving the look of Crystal Baby, it looks like it could be my perfect nude! Also like the look of Hint of Peach. Just waiting for these bad boys to launch nationwide so I can go swatch them lol

      Hi Jen

I thought crystal baby would be more transparent, but it isn’t more creamy and sort of….glossy. It could be dull but it’s not – recommended but there’s so many shades to play with!
