One of the reasons I have always been slightly reluctant to wear sunscreen in my day to day life is because a. I like the idea that I have tough Asian skin and I don’t need no sun care protection, yo! (well…none of the women in my family use it and they’re fine) b. sunscreens can be quite oily and leave a whitish cast on the skin.
That’s not to say I haven’t found some decent sunscreen over the years, however, it’s always nice to find another one.
Estee Lauder’s new UV Defence is a high SPF 50 and is formulated for wear every day!
Estée Lauder DayWear Advanced Anti-Oxidant & UV Defense is a powerful UV protector formulated to help defend your skin’s appearance to keep it looking younger, longer. Using Estée Lauder’s most effective anti-oxidant power ever: it includes the innovative Super Anti-Oxidant Complex, proven to fight the appearance of free radical damage. Advanced broad spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen helps skin resist the look of aging.
I’ve tried quite a few good products from Estee Lauder recently and this one is probably one of the best.
Coming in the light blue squeezy tube, this sunscreen is a white cream which is incredibly light in texture.
When first spread over the skin, it leaves that whitish cast that make sunscreens do, then in moments that all disappears and it’s practically traceless on this skin – which I really like. It makes adding this product on top of everything else quite easy.
And it’s gone! Without a trace! I like!
On top of this, it has a fresh cucumber scent (obviously no good if you hate cucumbers) which I really like. For the price (33) it also has helps to moisturise the skin and also works as a primer – it leaves a really even soft base behind which is ideal, I think for applying foundation on. It doesn’t feel heavy or silicone-y at all
