Another week, another new collection from Essie – these guys a prolific, yo. You are never short of nail polish choices when it comes to Essie.
Dressed to the Nineties is the collection for Fall 2017. These nail polishes are inspired by the 1990s style.- Britney Spears, The Spice Girls. Sigh – these were my teen years.
The collection looks quite random but there is something for everyone, from naturals and nudes to deep and metallic shades. Let’s take a closer look at the colours –
Girlie Grunge – silvery metallic light purple. Totally the kind of colour I wore in my teens! Pretty and very smooth to apply.
Saved By The Belle – Light creamy pale pink – I don’t usually like these kinds of shades but I love this bubblegum pink which is quite pretty and reminds me of being about 12.
As If – Lilac powdery blue – again reminds of my youth, a very wearable pretty colour that I would wear regularly.
Mix Taupe – Creamy ivory with a hint of pink and grey. I am loving this shade although it is quite unusual because of the pale grey-ishness.
Knee Highlife – Deep wine red with a purple tone, classic vampy shade.
Dressed to the Nineties – dark purple with a slight shimmer. Has an almost slightly rubbery finish to it.
Each polish is £7.99 and is available to the 26th of September in Boots and the 17th of October in Superdrug.
