EOTD: Purple Eyes with Shu Uemura Eyeshadow

When I went away to London this weekend, I took my glorious Shu Uemura Palette with me. Its truly one of the best palettes I own (and I put a lot of them together myself)….

I am considering buying another large palette – its fab, sturdy yet compact, for all my Shu Uemura blushers.

Anyway here is the eye I did for IMATS. My lashes are the result of an extension (review coming up this week).

Products used:

ME Purple 700
IR Purple 795 to define
M Beige 802
Hard Brow Pencil in Seal Brown 02. If you buy this pencil you MUST ask for the Japanese Sharpening. Why? It looks cool, innit!

I don’t wear purple enough – I think it may be a colour that works very well with my eye colour and skintone, no?

purple suits you beautifully. it’s the colour which would flatter the brown eyes girls.
problem though is that because it’s totally at the opposite of yellow, it would make anything yellow appear even more yellow. because I have yellow teeth, i feel a bit self conscious when I wear purple shadow over my eyes, even though it’s really far away from my lips and teeth.

Told you, you looked like a fox. A foxy fox.

I do love purple on you though. I remember a FOTD you did back in the Summer that was purple… loved that one too.

      Hi Charlene

Foxy fox is good! I don’t wear purple enough I think always go for lurid green instead!

You’re truly rocking this colour. I tend to go for more reddish toned purples, they work better with my green eyes. The great thing about purple is that there’s a wide range of flattering shades for every skin and eye colour.

Oooh, I love this! (But, then again, I will basically love anything violet, lol) The lash extensions look amazing as well; I cannot wait for the review :)

Love purple on you (and me – i’m half asian and like that it’s not as harsh as browns/blacks and feel it compliments our skin tone and hair). Quick question on the purple 795 shadow…for an iridescent, does it reflect a rainbow of several colors, or is it a fairly straightforward pearly purple? Just wondering, as the “iridescent” has scared me off…and i am looking for a shadow that would match my metallic purple shu eye pencil…would really appreciate your feedback! Thanks! ; )
