So I know you ladies have as much courier/delivery woes as me, regardless of where we are in the world, sometimes our lives just have to be made that teeny weeny bit harder.
Now, this wasn’t make up I was waiting for; it was my repaired Nintendo Wii. I live on a flat on a hill, and couriers are utterly useless when it comes to finding me.
So I didn’t know that the Wii was on its way to me, but I called the service centre today. “It was sent to you three days ago by DHL…” Hmm only a week ago, DHL left a giant parcel for me outside my Nana’s back door. Because, breaking her wooden fence is worth not taking a parcel back to a dry, safe depot. Yes it was soggy, no it wasn’t remotely safe. Grrrr.
Anyway, so I call up DHL because they couldn’t find my address, and I was told that it had been changed to “Home Delivery”.
“What’s that then?”
“Well, the driver keeps the parcel at his house.”
“The driver has my £200 Wii at his personal property?” (I’m not stupid. If they were Royal Mail this would be illegal; you are not supposed to have people’s post on your own property).
“Err yeah, here’s his home number.”
“Right….ring ring….ring ring…ring ring….”
Etc. etc. you know what I mean, this is still going on because no one is picking up the phone. I’ve never heard of anything so daft in my entire life. If you can’t deliver something, you return it to the depot. Is it really that hard?!
Oh BTW, ASOS are offering a £5 off code for a spend if £50. ASOS codes are rarer than a decent courier, so take it up while you can! Type in – WEMISSYOU at the checkout. Enjoy!
(P.S. ASOS use Interlink Couriers, who are actually one of the much better ones.)
