** I will be giving away one Christmas Goody a day until Christmas Eve! Check back everyday to enter. All winners will be chosen and contacted on the 01st January 2010!!!**

The Green People have a lovely range of organic skincare goodies (they launched cosmetics recently too!). I thought this gift set they have, called Pure Body, was lovely because inside is two none scented products.

Great for people with sensitive, dry, delicate skins, also also suitable for vegans and veggies. I have a weakness for unscented goodies anyway, I hate to smell like a mish mash of products.

my fave smell is leather – when i get a new pair of shoes, i’m always scared to wear them, i’d rather just sit and sniff the leather! lol

Creosote – the old fashioned pungent tar like smell, it always reminds me of summers growing up :-)

I have to agree with you on the smell of a a babies head, but for me it is when they have had there nappy changed but only if Trinity Cream has been used. Sadly not many people use that now & sudocream just isn’t the same. I don’t have a baby but i have a small jar of Trinity cream just for smelling LOL xx

I love the smell of books – the crisp, fresh smell of a brand new one, the mustiness of an antique one, that familiar scent of an old favourite – I can’t get enough and it shows!

When my mom just finished baking a bread, the entire house smells like heaven. My house just smells like old veggies and ham.

Hmm. The smell of my bf when he’s just had a shower and my nose tries to figure out which shower gel he used lol. Especially when he’s used a spicy orange / ginger one. Makes me want to snuggle him.

My favorite smell is nuzzling up to your own baby and smelling their natural smell (no, not the pooey or sicky one!)

Maggie Bermann December 23, 2009 at 1:27 pm

Freshly cut grass.. oh how i love that smell!

I’m another one who loves the smell of a freshly bathed baby – especially my own when they were small.

Nina December 23, 2009 at 1:49 pm

I also love the smell of a newborn baby’s head! I wish they did a perfume like it. It’s the best smell in the world. It’s a shame that I haven’t smelled a baby’s head in a very long time.

My favourite smell is cinnamon.

Reply

Aubrey December 23, 2009 at 2:54 pm

My favorite smell is a perfume (does that count? hmmm…) called Tea for Two, by L’Artisan. It’s the most comforting smell ev-ah. Commenter above (Jules) should check it out; there’s lots of cinnamon.

In terms of natural smells… I like the smell of burning logs in a fireplace.

hmmm there are many scents I love and I could sniff them till the end of my life, but one of the very favourites is coconut (and cinnamon!). Don’t ask me why >.<

People always think this is weird, but I love the smell of a freshly painted room. Oh and coconut (had to add something normal in there) haha

Fresh gardenias. Absolutely gorgeous scent. I go around sniffing the bushes around Roppongi because they have quite a few gardenia plants. I’m sure I look very strange, but the scent is bliss.

This sauce my mum makes, normally for dipping piece of chicken in. It’s like chopped garlic, shallots, chilli, lemon juice, vinegar and a little sugar. Haha, I just love it

Reply

kirsten December 23, 2009 at 7:40 pm

I love the smell of lemons actually anything even something stronger like vinegar.. What I really like is how it somehow makes me salivate without fail. I react that way only to sourish smells like lemon and vinegar which I think is just fascinating.. I always relate smells to things or people and the smell of lemons reminds me of my absolutely adorable little sister don’t know why but it just does :)

At Christmas, everything smells wonderful. The cakes, tarts, sugary custards. Love it all.

LAVENDER. I love the smell so much. I’m sort of obsessed. I have the bushels in a vase in my room, and pillow mists fragrance with lavender along with a vial of the essential oil. Nothing relaxes me like Lavender; and if it has a carrier smell like vanilla or chamomile, it’s just a perfect blend.

I love cinnamon and peat smoke (not together though :D ) I like cosy smells – cinnamon is the smell of Christmas baking and candles, and peat smoke is the smell of freezing cold winter nights, like last night.

Reply

Jacqueline Williams December 24, 2009 at 12:23 pm

It’s the smell of cinammon whatever the time of year!

Reply

Carolyn December 24, 2009 at 1:35 pm

Definitely melon. Cucumber melon is okay, but melon by itself… mmm.

I just love love loooove the smell of a freshly opened pack of coffee, I find it almost intoxicating!

There’s another smell I like, which is rather unusual (yep, I can be a weirdo sometimes)-I actually like the smell of my hands after I cut onions!! I know normal people hate it and would try anything to get rid of it, but I just can’t stop smelling my hands. I’m an onion person I guess (but I passionately hate garlic)

Hahahaha thats so funny, because I just posted on the other contest that baby smell is the best smell! I thought you would think I was crazy :)
Hm… my favorite smell would be just that… either baby smell, or the smell of Lush’s soap ‘Sexy Peel’.

It’s so hard to pin down just one smell. I’m such a scent person, and I don’t really think that I have just one favorite scent; it’s a mood thing.

The outdoors after it rains is a favorite. Fresh laundry. Coffee. Lavender. Lilac. Ylang Ylang. Buddhist temples (from all of the incense burnt there.) There are just so many good smells.

Reply

cassidy December 16, 2010 at 11:40 pm

gahh how am I suppose to choose just one scent. The smell of nature? Let that include all the good stuff. ^^
