Hmmmm. I like nice foundations and lip colours, so I would say mascara – purely because I hate paying £20 for a mascara that goes clumpy quickly, but I have little luck with cheap mascara. Soooooo actually it has to be something like blusher. Cheap Japanese blushers are amazing!

Lipgloss! I buy glosses from Essence because they’re usually quite good for 3€ just to feed the addiction!
Lipgloss, it goes on and off so fast even the expensive ones so I dont really mind the low cost ones as long as the colour and feel is right for me
Glossies as well! I am not a fan of pigmented glosses, so that’s not a factor when it comes to choosing but I am more nitpicky about how tacky they are.

definitely nail polish.. I find that alot of the cheapies are better than most expensive/premium brands and are often more chip-proof too!!

Eyeshadows of course…because I need lots of colors and I can’t afford to buy if they are too expensive, that’s why I always look for cheap + good quality eyeshadows
Eyeshadows usually and lip glosses, although I am really wanting a NARS eyeshadow atm!
Like you I’d have to say mascara, because it’s not an everyday staple and the bacteria phobe people say you’re meant to ditch them after 6 months! I’ll always make sure it’s waterproof and smooth to apply though!
I now invest more in lipsticks, foundations and eyeliners. I like my make up to be hardwearing but comfortable to wear : )
I am not happy about buying cheap versions of anything so I look out for special offers or free samples to help what I have last longer.
All my makeup is cheap! On a very tight budget so makeup is seen as a luxury, not a necessity :,0(
I don’t have a lot of high end brands products in my collection I usually buy drugstore brands and their prices are reasonable but if one thing that I have to buy cheap than it would be a nail color
Lipgloss. The cheap ones work fine and there’s a huge variety of colours, textures, flavours, etc. at every price point.
Having said that, my favourite lipgloss in the world EVAH was an Urban Decay one – lip gunk in Paranoid, long since discontinued!
I tend to buy lower end eyeliners and mascara because these are products that if fail, i can’t get them to work in anyway, but with a blush or eyeshadow, at least i know i might be able to use it some other way (mix with other colors or adding highlighter on top etc)
Lipsticks and glosses. They disappear from my lips too fast so I can’t justify spending a fortune on them.
The only “expensive” thing I’ve ever gotten was my eyeshadow primer. Everything else has to be less than $10 because I mostly just play with makeup and I’m not going to shell out so much for something I use three times a month.
Lip glosses and lip balms
I go for cheap lip glosses/tinted lipbalms/lipstick because they are not much different from the expensive ones.
I go for cheap eyeshadows! I have an 88 palette one and it isn’t expensive at all
The only thing I pay more for is my foundation – everything else comes cheap, cheap, cheap!
i think cheap lip gloss & lip balms are just as good as some higher priced ones.
Face Powers. They all seem comparable to me unless you have extremely oily or extremely dry skin.
False lashes! It might be a bit weird im not sure but I have small eyes so normal length lashes would look like too much on me so its hard to find REALLY natural looking ones so I look for super cheap ones

I can’t afford to spend huge amounts on makeup so I economise quite a bit. One of my favourite mascaras was WetnWild Mega Wink mascara which cost about £1.99 and honestly was as good any other more expensive brand I found. Sadly I’m struggling to get it any more as the UK website has gone and Tesco have stopped selling it. I’ve had less luck with cheap foundations and eyeshadow.

In my case it would be easier to ask what expensive stuff I’d buy, so I’ll make it easy for ‘ya. Mascara is the only quality item I’ll buy, everything else is middle range.
I’m happy to buy cheapies to treat myself sometimes, usually it ends up being eyeshadows and nail varnishes as I’m a bit of a magpie for bright colours!
I mainly go for cheaper make up. I found a great 17 mascara that I’m very happy with. Other than that currently using a wrong shade Clinique foundation but I paid for it so I’m using it up! I wouldn’t use a realllly cheap nail varnish though – they chip far too easily.

Eyeshadow and mascara because I don’t care about eye makeup as much as I care about foundation and lippies.
Usually blushes or lipstick, when it comes to those I’m more attracted to colour than anything else.

I’d say mascaras though, because I find that drugstore mascaras work pretty well and there’s no need to pay a lot for something that goes bad quickly!

I would say blush
because it’s just going to go on my cheeks and not on sensitive and delicate areas like my eyes. so it’s ok if the quality isn’t as good as the high end stuff.

Eyeshadows, blushers and lipgloss/lipsticks..I have no probs. buying those cheap..but then the most expensive item I have is a mac brush…so…I don’t count right XD? I do spend the most moolah on foundation..but I don’t use it a lot so..it all lasts longer XD..
Mascara! Like you, I have a really bad habit of buying mascara and I just can’t justify spending $30 on one mascara. But I have a very big thing for Maybelline and Revlon mascara, so it isn’t all bad.
Mascara. Definitely MASCARA!
Maybelline, Covergirl and L’oreal have great mascaras. Even Rimmel!
