Concealers

This is a snap of some of the concealers I own. I didn’t include my Paula Dorf Salmon Coloured concealer though:

I love concealer! If there’s one desert island item I would definately take with me it would be a good concealer.

On the top left, is RMK with a matching setting powder, called ‘basic’ which is good for setting under eye concealer. RMK is amazing stuff – it is VERY thick and isn’t ideal for under the eyes but it is amazing on everything else.

Next to it is Benefit’s Realness of Concealness – has the Bo-ing eye concealer (quite good) the Lemon aid eye base (fine), and three fix its, a lip plump, Oh La lift and High Beam.

Then there is Becca – I think this is Cashew. One side is medium converage the other is extra coverage. Both sides are thick so – I think it is pointless really – concealer should be full coverage, I think it is the texture that should vary as opposed to the opaqueness. This is good concealer, but not one I always reach for.

Then there is Chanel concealer I tend to use for under the eyes – one side is white and one is flesh for under the eyes. There is a great video on Chanel’s Asia website here:

Which is a great guide on how to use it.

N.B. Sorry I can’t find it anymore. But it WAS a good guide.

Underneath is Shu Uemura Pro Spot Concealer which is very dry and has antiseptic in it for dabbing on spots. Is great for people with oiler skin. Below that is a Shu Pencil which is double ended – I like using the darker shade as a contour but the colours can be mixed for the right tone.

There is the MAC concealer in Medium – the last two colours are too dark for me but i use them as a contour now. They are like the MAC Select Concealers but thicker – not good for under the eyes.

Finally on the right is Cle De Peau concealer which is divine and smooth, easy to blend etc. and two Japanese eye concealers – Kiss ME Eye Bright and Koji Eye Concealer – I don’t use either most they aren’t wonderful – the koji one in particular is salmon coloured (Eve Pearl mentions in her book that Salmon is the correct concealer for dark circles because it cancels out the blue but I found this concealer looked – well, salmon).

I recieved today, a Estee Lauder Pro Concealment Kit:

Very cute but I haven’t tested it yet! The first white substance is supposed to be a illuminating line diffuser, part two is a yellow conceler for redness and the next is a salmon (that again) concealer for dark circles and a powder for setting.

All in one! plus there is a mirror and brushes! I will have to try this soon and report back.
