I have a few products from Color Wow and I really do rate them. The brand isn’t one that everyone has heard of, but I find their products (their most famous is perhaps the root cover up powder) light and easy to use. I hate crispy hair that is weighed down, and their range never does that to my bouffant.
These new Color Wow Cocktails are for coloured hair, and are essentially leave in treatments or conditioners. Something I always use – I air dry my hair frequently but I have to put something in it first otherwise the results are not pretty. I like products that actively treat the hair as well as making it look smooth.
The Cocktails come in three yummy scents/types – Kale Cocktail for strengthening hair bonds, Coconut Cocktails to restore the lipid layer for silky manageable hair and Carb Cocktails which bonds a micro fibre mesh to the surface of the hair to fatten fine strands.
Kale and Coconut are both up my street, but I ended up trying Coconut.
This smells like Coconut, Pina Colda…summer. I absolutely adore coconut with all my heart so I adore it. If you do not like the scent of coconut, then obviously, try a different scent!
My first thought about the bottle was, how am I going to get the stuff at the bottom out? Although it looks like metal it is actually plastic and squeezeable plastic at that, which is great because it shouldn’t be an issue getting the product out. It i relatively thick and would likely get stuck in a pump.
I used this treatment on wet hair air dry and also with a hair dryer. They say on their website it works better with some heat, and my hair does look silky and shiny with the use of a hairdryer too – extremely soft and lovely with this product in it. When I use it on wet hair and let it air dry, again it looks softer, not frizzy and healthy but if you want a shiny finish, do give it a blast with the hair dryer too.
All in all, a good leave in hair treatment that isn’t too heavy. I have just finished my beloved Milkshake Incredible Milk so I am happy to carry on with this product.
