Benefit Prrrowl or Prrrowl (I can’t figure out if it’s 3 R’s or 4 R’s because it varies from different pictures that I see!) is a rather interesting concoction of a iridescent mascara top coat and a shimmering pink lip gloss.
I know what you’re thinking…why would you want a top coat and a lip gloss in the same place? I don’t know, but I guess this is one of those fun products Benefit is known for, one of those whimsical beauty products for finishing off a look:
The packaging is cute, I like, but I like anything remotely related to cats!
This is a double ended tube, half for mascara, which is a purple, blue top coat and the other half for a pale pink milky gloss which is full of blue microsparkles (which you can’t see rom the tube).
Do you know how much I love pink glosses with blue microsparkle? <-------------------------------------------------> much.
So that sparkly peacock blue seems to be a running theme in this product.
The tube is quite long – you get a decent amount of both products but it makes it a bit hard to carry round:
Here are the swatches of both sides:
The product itself is nice to use. The lip gloss isn’t too sticky and has a nice, plumping effect. The mascara top coat (something I never use) actually has a nice brush that gets through mascara’d lashes without clumping.
It also didn’t weigh down my curl.
I liked this lip gloss immediately because it looks like the milky pink Japanese glosses. It’s weird, the blue sparkle is invisible:
Sorry for the pornographic close up of my top lip. My bottom lip has been dry lately and it’s not very appetising looking at close ups of dry lips.
I LOVE the blue sparkle, I love blue sparkle in pink, it’s one of those weird obsessions I have!
Mascara top coat – ok hardly a useful product but this one is one of the better ones I have tried! It’s not too OTT either:
The colour is nice, a purple-blue sparkle. I’ve applied 2 coats here to the top of my black mascara. It’s more twinkly in real life, but you get the idea. Sorry my unmade up wrinkly eye for you:
I was ready to give this product a no-no just because it’s not exactly practical, but actually I like it and you know I love my interesting, gimmicky, strange beauty products. That’s what Prrrowl is I guess – fun! Both ends of this product are good, and I just adore the pink-blue gloss.
Would you give Prrrowl a go?
