If there is one lipstick that is in this very moment it time hard to get your paws on, its the Chanel Rouge Coco lipstick in 05 Mademoiselle.
Its the lipstick Vanessa Paradis is wearing in the main Chanel advert. Its like the perfect rose pink.
Chanel surprised me with this texture. I was expecting a lipstick in a similar texture to YSL Rouge Volupte – mega soft and creamy. Instead, Chanel did exactly what Chanel wanted to do, which was create a pigmented, slightly soft matte finish lipstick which does not dry the lips out AT ALL.
In one line – its elegance in a tube.
New lightweight lip colour glides on for easy application, and features a Hydratendre complex to help soften, soothe and condition lips – even boosting their ability to hold in moisture – for a plumper, smoother and healthier-looking appearance. A range of wearable shades with full-coverage finishes, from matte to pearl to soft shimmer.
When I first saw it in the tube, I thought – is this pink too dark to be fresh?
The answer is no – the more I use it the more I adore it. Its a full bodied rosy pink, but without drying my lips (and 90% of lipsticks dry my lips out) it can work on its own or with some gloss on top.
It worked well on me today and lasted until lunchtime with 2 cups of coffee.
The texture still gets me – no, its not as soft as I’d thought it would be , but it does just it works the way it is.
After all I’ve had my doubts about YSL’s Rouge Volupte due to its excessive creaminess – choose the wrong shade and its instant tranny.
You won’t get this problem with Chanel.
On the lips – the finish is soft, looks slightly matte on me but still glowy:
What do you think of the Chanel Rouge Cocos?
Would you buy more despite the price?
