Another Boots offer! 1200 Points with a £50 spend!

…On Premuim Make Up that is, but that’s not exactly hard for make up fans!

The brands it includes is:

Beauty Boutique
Ole Henriksen
Elizabeth Arden
Estée Lauder
Yves Saint Laurent

So Benefit and Urban Decay Aren’t included in Premium beauty even though it is just as expensive. I think it is because they don’t have a proper manned isle in Boots stores but never mind – I’ve done the Benefit obsession and the Urban Decay I have a new obsession – Chanel Brushes! I have a set of 5 from many moons ago which are fab but the blusher brush is not as it could be. I had a feel of the new range and its DIVINE especially the blending eye brush:

It is quite a wide brush, with lots of firm, densely packed hairs. The handle has a matte feel and the hairs are very very soft. The blurb says:

A thick curved brush with natural bristles to perfectly blend in and shade colour.
The short, thick and curved shape precisely blends in eyeshadow for a “halo” effect.

To perfectly blend in and shade eyeshadow colours:

– Remove eyeshadow with the brush and tap the brush handle to remove excess product.

– Sweep the eyeshadow over the entire eyelid, from lashes to the brow bone.

This brush can also be used to apply light colours as an eyeshadow base.

Gorgeous! I have already put this item in my Boots basket and two other eye brushes, a round shape and a very small blending contour brush. I am also in love with their contour brush:

Love it – also very soft an densely packed with short bristles for more control. At £33.50 though, I’ve decided this is going to be birthday present request!

Whilst I’m here, I might as well say I think I have found my ideal matte eye base. I ordered two Urban Decay Matte Eyeshadows, in Chronic (green) and Narcotic (Light Blue). I also wanted a easy to wear matte all over colour (a huge majority of my colours are shimmer). My gut instict said Naked, a taupey matte colour but I wasn’t sure if it could look a bit dirty so I passed. However, instore yesterday, I ended up trying out the nudes in this range, ABC Gum (Pale Peach), Foxy (Yellow Nude), Nakes (Buff taupe nude), Yeyo (White) and Illegal (Paleish rose). These colours vary on skintone but on mine, all of these colours could be classed as neutral.

After testing I realised the perfect nude for my medium NC35 tone is ABC Gum! Naked is ever so slightly too dark, especially for the upper eye area where is can look dirty and won’t do much for brightening, but I bet it would be gorgeous on darker ladies. Foxy is gorgeous but better for light skinned ladies.

By the way, the texture is gorgeous – very soft, very creamy and smooth.
