I am always looking out for new releases from Etude House and I spotted these cool Shadow Liners a few weeks ago (took forever to arrive!).
These are dual use products, both eyeshadows and liners. I’d say it’d also work beautifully as a base!
I bought two, 01 which is a nude beige and 04 which is a charcoal grey.
They come in plain not very inspiring plastic pots:
You know what I’m like, buy everything in two’s! The cream I thought I could use as a base. The charcoal I just though would be useful. Sometimes with cream shadows they can err on the sheer side – and with Asian releases, even more so…See Asian eye jellies and cream colours can be full of glitter and shimmer too.
Not these two!
These cream eyeshadows are beautifully pigmented, are easy on the shimmer (although they have a metallic edge) and are so so so soft and set to a water resistant finish.
I don’t think they are 100% crease free though but they do last quite well. Not as well as say, a gel liner, but well.
And they are SO SOFT. I hate cream shadows that are hard and need warming up – these do not, these are super soft regardless of the temperature.
Verdict: Really lovely, pigmented, flattering pretty shadows that are bold enough to use as liners but also as shadows. Love these, can’t wait to see more colours to the range, perhaps some brights!
I paid about £6 for these each on eBay.
