Since we are now nearly at the end of November, I can discuss the topic of Christmas without apologising – right?!
Let’s start the gift giving series with one of the most giftable brands of all – Jo Malone. I have become horribly obsessed with home scents and candles recently, and no, we are no longer talking about Scent and Spray (if you don’t know, it’s a device that automatically sprays a whiff of air freshener when you walk past) or Febreeze – behave ladies! We want a subtle multi layered warming scents, not a blast of cheap vanilla!
We’ll start with my favourite product, the number one on my wish list – the Jo Malone Roasted Chestnut Candle. I want it so badly but it’s rather pricey. It’s seriously amazing though, it really does smell like a bunch of shiny brown chestnuts being roasted on a fire (or as my Nan does it – in a wok). My life will not be complete until I own this candle.
For the festive season the is Roasted Chestnut, Pine & Eucalyptus (400g / 80g each) and Sweet Almond & Macaroon (200g / £38).
The Pine & Eucalyptus range includes the home candle mentioned above, scent surround diffuser (165ml / £45) and room spray (175ml / £34). There is also a luxury candle (2/5kg / £260) if you are feeling flush! It’s a HUGE candle, you could light a church with it.
Other luxurious gifts include the Cologne Intense in Dark Amber and Ginger Lily (200ml / £190)
There is the Tea Trousseau which is amazing (the Tea Scents are lovely, I have smelt them – I have always liked tea based scents) and includes Assam & Grapefruit Cologne, Sweet Lemon Cologne, Earl Grey & Cucumber Cologne (100ml each), Parma Violets Tea Deluxe Candle (PARMA VIOLETS!!!!), and a deluxe Sweet Almond & Macaroon Deluxe Candle too – this set is £450.
The World of Jo Malone Collection includes a Pomegranate Noir Travel Candle (60g), Grapefruit Body and Handwash (100ml), Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne (30ml), Nectarine Blossom & Honey Body & Hand Lotion (100ml) and Vitamin E Body Treatment Scrub (100ml) for a nifty £110.
