My final Nars Artist Palette to review is the American Dream palette. Of all the palettes I purchased (or got Mr C to purchase!) this was the one I was the most excited about getting in the post. The palette is quite shimmery with the exception of Bali which is a neutral matte brown. But more about the shade later.
Regardless of what you make of the Kardashians, you’ve got to admit they’re make up sure looks good. And they wear make up so well…some people don’t have make up faces. Some people do. The Kardashian’s do. So – I am surprised they didn’t do this sooner – the K sisters have launched Khroma Beauty and it has arrived at Cloud 10 beauty! Not sure about the name, it sounds like an […]
At first it is a little easy to not give Acorelle a second glance; this scent in simple packaging (box and bottle) doesn’t look like anything particularly special, but with further investigation reveals a few interesting facts about the brand! Acorelle hails from France and is the one of the world’s first certified organic fragrances. Each perfume (and the range is quite large) contains ‘natural’ raw ingredients, that is, they avoid many of the synthetic […]
Now on to my third palette this week for review; Pleasures of Paris / Douceurs de Paris. As mentioned in previous posts, I collect these Nars artists palettes, and I do really like them for their handy size and usually – winning combinations. As always Nars features colours from other Duos or Solos. I quite like how they do this as generally – not always – they pick the stronger colour of the duos! […]
The brightest Nars Artist Palette I own is this New Wave collection, which I knew I had to have even thought the colours are somewhat bright. I do still love bright and vibrant shades, even if they take a little bit more time to work with. At the moment though my staple shades are neutrals. Even so…
Dolce & Gabbana are releasing a scent for babies! The unisex fragrance is 50ml and costs £28. The cologne is alcohol free, smells of citrus, melon and honey. They say the scent is reminiscent of, “The softness of baby skin, the freshness of baby breath, a mother’s sweet hug, the first smile… and other tender moments have been the source of inspiration.” Hmm, so what do you make of this?
Etude House have really hit the mark recently with super cute collections (check out Etoinette here if you love princessy make up). Their newest collection is way too cute not to share with you. I have my eye on a few items. 1) Dear My (Etude House’s lipstick range is just called Dear My, don’t ask why) Jelly Lips Talk Lipstick – a ‘jelly finish’ shiny lipstick in 8 colours: When Etude House say a […]
Mr C kindly gifted me a number of Nars palettes, so I have finally had a chance to play with them all and am going to share my swatches and thoughts on each one this week. Each of the Artist palettes are LE, although they do in my experience, take a while to disappear from the official Nars websites. There are ones on there I bought years ago which they told me were LE but […]
Before my life revolved around being a Mama, I actually had time to do things like, style my hair. These days, time for that kind of things is at the minimum. So, if I do decide to pretty up once in a while, it has to be with a very quick and easy to use tool. I have tried the Cloud Nine straighteners before, which are truly excellent, but never the curlers! Here I […]
Whilst some people revel in romantic gifts at Valentine’s day, others are a little bit more pedantic. You know, the ones that go, DON’T BUY ME ANYTHING, DON’T WASTE MONEY Followed by, WHY DIDN’T YOU BUY ME ANYTHING? NOT EVEN A CARD!? For those of us who have loved ones that say they only want practical gifts, how about this Oral-B 600 Precision Clean toothbrush in Limited Edition Pink, complete with a travel case…for those […]
