2012, A Year in Cat Pics

At the end of 2011, me and Mr C sat on my Nan’s sofa watching Big Ben chime in a New Year, as we have done for the last few years, wondering what 2012 would have in store for us.  Some years seem to pass so quickly, and it feels like nothing much has changed, or sometimes a few big events during the year, like a death in the family, numbs you for some time after.

But you see 2012 was year of the Dragon, the most coveted creature from the Chinese zodiac.  If anything good should happen, it should happen in the Year of the Dragon.

And so readers, I’ve had quite a year…

I got engaged…

Me and Mr C always said we’d get married when we both reached 30 and start a family. We originally discussed 12-12-12 as a wedding date as it would be our exact 8 year anniversary on that day although, as a blogger friend said to me at the time, it was going to cost a fortune because it was such a memorable date..

But then fate played a hand, and we brought the date forward because…

I found out I was expecting…

Thinking back, perhaps in my heart I knew there was a little Baby C in there long before I took a test, like I remember not eating a crayfish baguette because I wasn’t sure if it felt right…

I moved house….

Moving house 15 days before our wedding and at nearly 6 months pregnant is not something I would recommend nor would do again! But someone, like magic, just days before we had to leave we found a wonderful place to live.

I got married….

Everything came together, I don’t know how, but it was a lovely day. Then..

I went on Honeymoon….

Holiday was nice but then we came home and…

My cat was at her deathbed…

On top of everything else, when we got home Yuki was very sick and we were prepared to lose her….

Then she got better gradually.  Just as I was ready to spend some time relaxing and then

My baby arrived early….

At first it was so overwhelming…

And now every day is like this…

So really, in a year I did three major life changing things..boy has it been stressful!  But I can’t believe everything has worked out so well and most of all, that I have a happy and healthy baby.

Next year…I doubt will be as eventful as this one, but I have some goals in mind as I focus on raising Harrison and finally working on some projects during the year.

I am working splitting my time up and working on some other blogs too next year, my cat blog, cooking blog and baby blog. I also hope to do a blog sale in February as I am doing my yearly clear out but this time I really do need to be ruthless and get rid of things I have been collecting since I seems like such a waste in the cupboards!  Check back soon for updates on this as it will take me some time to organise!

So what were the major things you will remember from 2012?  Do you have any resolutions?
