I’ve been on a Becca kick lately and just totally fell in love with the imagery from the latest collection, Fallen Angel. Heavenly looking, light-dappled skin casts an eternal spell, while dramatically dark eyes dance with wonder and mystery. Cheeks are tinged with desire in a soft tawny peach as honeyed lips tempt and allure. Gorge! I bought two of the palettes, Enigma (eye) and Fallen Angel (lip). I for one prefer the palettes like […]
I first caught wind of the Pantene Colour Seal Concentrate product at this evening event, where the Dr Frauke Neuser showed us how by using this concentrate on the hair for just 2 minutes made it ‘waterproof’ so to speak by forming a protective seal over the hair. Dyed hair sunk in water, hair treated with this stuff, did not. FINALLY! The product has been launched: They say: The NEW Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect Colour […]
I picked up two Korres Mandarin Lip Butters from the ASOS sale – I think they cost £3.90 which is quite a big discount from the retail price. I bought it in pink and peach. I am a fan of the Mango Butter lip balms in the pot – they are quite pigmented and rather lovely in texture too! They Say: Lip butter with sun protection that instantly hydrates and softens the lips. Shea butter […]
I keep discovering new Korean make up to try out, especially high end ones and Hera is one of my discoveries. Hera Multi Shimmering Pact is one of the prettiest palettes I have ever seen: I believe it is a fairly high end brand as this palette cost me £26. There’s also a pink version of this that can be used as a blusher. The case is a little bit cheap, it’s plastic and quite […]
Superdrug had a 3 for 2 offer on Barry so I did a little haul even though I’ve not bought anything from that range for ages. I just find pigments a little fiddly to use but I couldn’t resist these two glitters, which are black with hints of purple and green! I also picked up Dusky Mauve polish since so many ladies went crazy for it. It’s a dirty grey shade, quite nice and subtle… […]
I tend to let my hair dry naturally because I wash it pretty much every day. If I forget to put something in it, it frizzes into a giant poof ball. So I am always looking for things I can use on damp hair that will defrizz and add some definition without weighing it down. I really like Japanese hair care/styling products. They tend to be a lot lighter on the hair. This is Yanafiya […]
A few people have asked me about this, as I was interviewed recently for a New York Times Interview about my obsession with Japanese cosmetics. The blog got a really nice mention – you can read it here. It’s been a funny old week, but I have realised with the love of your family and cats, you can kick arse. Here’s a picture of a cat kicking arse: Bring it on!
Mr C gifted me with this Laura Mercier palette for Christmas called Bonne Mine (exclusive to Selfridges). It is a thick cardboard palette with 5 products in it. They say: This ultra-sheer, blendable palette wakes up the skin and gives it an immediate, healthy glow. Customize your look with bronzer, cheek color, and glow for a natural “no makeup” radiance. Inside, there are tabs that fan out to display Laura’s secrets on how to best […]
