I am obsessed with eye drops, but guess what? I lose them all the time (you can roll your eyes now)… And since you should throw it away after 30 days (hygiene reasons), I end up with loads of half used eye drops! Something you can use it for? Mixing with pigments to make it stick better. Just an idea. I have had my eye on these Eyedew by Optrex drops for ages (nice box!) […]
Archives for December 2009
I love herbal teas – I think they help so much in terms of clearing up the skin and digestion but I must confess I am a coca-cola and coffee addict. But I do try. Pukka Herbs makes some of the nicest herbal teas out there, even though I generally prefer loose leaf Chinese and Japanese teas like Green Tea and Oolong – its super cheap from the supermarkets too. Have you ever tried Twinings […]
I picked up this set for my Mother for Christmas! Despite looking after her skin, she doesn’t really spend mega bucks on her skincare products and this Elemis set (worth £85 is bought separately) is a bargain at £45. Perfect Radiance Set contains: Rehydrating Rosepetal Cleanser 200ml Soothing Apricot Toner 200ml Maximum Moisture Day Cream 50ml Maximum Moisture Night Cream 20ml Apart from the Night Cream, the other items are full size! My mum has […]
I have a soft spot for Helena Rubenstien. I think her cosmetics are gorgeous, classy and are high quality but they have completely pulled out of the UK and is hard to get hold of. Today I am looking at the Wanted Eyes Duos. I have several of these (here are the ones I could find….ahem)… I don’t normally buy duos – why? I prefer quads, so I have more colours to play with. But […]
This nifty Lee Stafford Set on sale at Boots for £8 is a rather good purchase because not only do you get a pink brolly in the set, its also in the 3 for 2! The spray is pretty good to, it helps with control and frizzies too (when you’ve been out in the rain!). Lee Stafford Climate Control Protection Spray is a long lasting non-sticky hairspray with a flexible hold that helps to weatherproof […]
This is my latest lipstick purchase! No. 6 from Armani, a sheer, shiny mauve: This caught my eyes because its oh so shimmery once its on the lips: On the lips:
Ladies, as always thank you so much for entering my giveaways. I’ve finally had a chance to pick 5 winners so here they are. If you can pop me an email with your address, thats’s a big help. I will try to get these out by the end of December! Day One – When was the last time you were traumatised? (see all the comments here!) Some super funny comments here ladies! Blue accused me […]
I am addicted to hair tools, even though in reality, there isn’t much you can buy other than things that dry, curl and straighten your hair. I love curling my hair but I am generally don’t have the time to do it. Conical wands have been a blessing in a sense because they are super easy to use. I have a few different types and recently was sent this one from Diva Professional Styling to […]
Time for a bit of my inner geek to come out! This is going to be my diary for 2010 (I have bought several diaries but all are too gorgeous to actually write in) – this Moleskine leather cover diary, a limited edition designed by Martí Guixé is my choice! Oooooohhhhh! I was considering a Smythson but its a. Too expensive and b. The paper DOES let ink run through to the next page! Admit […]
I got a few samples of the Giorgio Armani Mascara, Eyes to Kill a few weeks ago. I can’t remember how much exactly this mascara is, but I am sure that it is around the £20 mark which I think makes it expensive in my eyes for a product which ultimately, doesn’t last that long. My mini tester! The brush is rather nice, a medium sized bristle brush – no gimmicks here. From the top, […]
Laura Mercier is one of those brands that always has odd bits and pieces worth investing in (like the base products). I picked up some bits, a clear nude lip gloss in Bare Beige, the dark eyeliner (god I love eyeliner pencils) and the new Foiled eye colour in VIP silver: The eyeshadow reminds me of the ‘baked’ kind but I didn’t really think much when I swatched it at home. HOWEVER – once it […]
These cute, tiny little pigmented lipstick from Besame are dainty and a really nice gift for Christmas! Its funny how these lipstick are so small – presumably ladies were more delicate and carried smaller purses around. Whereas these days – just try and find this lipstick at the bottom of my 42cm bag…. Anyway, Gold on the lips is perfect for the Christmas season, its more than a nude, its adds a tropical glow to […]
Does anyone else out there watch Dexter? Well I am still reeling after watching Season 4’s finale. OMFG. But I have no one to talk to about it, no one to go OMFG to – so if you saw it, you know what happened, if you also need some sleeping tablets and a hug, leave me a comment! What did you think of the finale!? ** Spoilers in the comments, mmmm okay? **
No, no, no, no, no. I thought this was a joke. But Nicole Kidman doesn’t strike me as a ha-ha-ha kinda chick. In times like these, there’s only one thing we can do – a poll.
Have you tried Saaf? If you haven’t then you should! Its a really lovely organic skincare range (albeit quite pricey). I loved the look of this gift set: It includes: The recyclable aluminium tin contains Pure Face Cleansing Balm 3g, Hydrating Face & Lip Balm 3g; Ultimate Moisture Face Serum 4ml; Complexion Boosting Serum 4ml; Foot Softening Balm 3g; Eraser Body Oil 9ml; Super Hydrating Body Balm 3g and Enriching Hair Oil 9ml. So the […]
A perfume from Avon, I hear you sniff? I know, I know but I totally fell in love with the bottle and the green – I love love love this kind of snotty-bog green…that’s an awful description. But I just love this green. I always think of Kylie when I hear the word Absynthe. This scent is (they say): A mysterious oriental fragrance inspired by the magic of absynthe. Captivating green anise and saffron, enticed […]
Ed Hardy?! Ed Hardy?! I know, I’m not the first person you think of when you hear the words Ed Hardy but I wanted to share with you this gift which is for my 15 year old cousin. Teens LOVE Ed Hardy, it seems. There are two variations to this scent, in the pink tube and the black tube. I do think the packaging is pretty funky. The scent, to my largely unrefined nose smells […]
Today we have this gorgeous sheer icy white, called Vanilla by Besame. It is lightly scented and costs £12.50 (see the range Cult Beauty). It works perfectly well on top of other colours well, especially if you are wearing dark reds or burgundy’s for winter – it just keeps things nicely fresh! Vanilla – does it do it for you?
So I had a bit of a thing for Armani a few months ago (yep….that fad has gone, *poof*) and I spent my birthday gift voucher on this Lasting Silk UV Foundation. They say: Lasting Silk UV foundation SPF 20, a new high tech silk fine milling process, an innovative high definition cosmetic textile. Starlight proof, spotlight proof,… in a new liquid silk texture. Here it is: Armani foundations, I believe had a good reputation. […]
I’ve been rubbish at responding to comments & emails lately – apologies. With it coming up to Christmas things are hectic at work & home and if I have time I have decided to do some posts first so there is something new everyday. But fret not! Will be working through all comments this weekend whilst going turkey shopping and buying myself presents!
