YSL’s Spring eyeshadow palette ‘Y Facettes’ is a Wet/DryPure Chromatics Eyeshadow Palette is this very stylish looking number; being spring ‘an all, the colours are fresh and iridescent. This is my very first Pure Chromatics eyeshadow!
The Chromatics range has always looked stunning from a distance (yes at a distance…I didn’t want to be tempted!). This palette contains four colours that are pastely-shimmery-iridecent with multi toned shimmer.
This palette caught my eye right away – I love shimmer and I love how it’s colourful but not in an unwearable way. What I did think about is how could the colours be used together?
There’s Green, Pink, Lilac-Purple and Blue.
The Green in particular is lovely, with lots of shimmer and the blue. I carried this palette around with me and found it more versatile than it looks – I went for a green look, or a pink and purple or a blue and purple eye. It’s like a pic ‘n’ mix!
Now, this eyeshadow can be used wet or dry. I noticed the pigment was slightly richer when used wet. However, I didn’t think there was a HUGE pigmentation difference. It does make the shimmery bits look more eye catching which I like.
I did some eye looks with this, but my favourite was pink as a highlighter, purple on the lid and blue underneath. I tended to dab this on my eye with a cream base on, to get the most pigmentation out of it, as it can run sheer when used completely dry.
I found this a really pretty fresh palette to use and I can’t think of anything else in my VAST collection that is a dupe.
This palette is a lovely addition for shimmery-pastel make up lovers, although don’t expect mega pigmentation.
This costs £39.50 from YSL counters or online.
