As I am finally going on holiday soon I have been testing out loads of different kinds of hair removal products. It’s amazing how much choice there is out there these days – home hair removal seems to be split into razors, hair removal creams and waxes.
In the salon I have ventured as far as threading (which I have now decided is too much for my sensitive skin which goes red and sore for long afterwards) but never waxing. I do feel like I can do it at home quickly and cheaply, although there is always the issue of inflicting pain on oneself…
But I digress….
Veet High Precision Facial Wax seems like a fantastic idea. In a lip gloss style tube lies the wax, suitable for sensitive skin, and you get re-usuable strips and a orange stick type thing for spreading the wax.
New Veet High Precision Facial Wax is designed for women who want beauty and perfection. The easy application of this professional quality wax, will rid you of facial hair. It is ideal for shaping eyebrows and removing hair from the upper lip.
This product is certainly good at the precision part.
The tube and the stick means it’s easier to apply to the brows and the upper lip.
It’s definitely easier to move around than using a waxing strip for the face. It’s also quite a gentle product – some wax makes my skin sting right away but not this one.
However – the bad news?
I found it quite tricky to work…
When using this product, I found it tricky to get all the hair off. I used it for the fine hairs above the brow and whilst it didn’t hurt half as much as some other products I’ve used on the face, I found it took about 50% of the hair off so I had to go over the area again.
It’s a great idea, but it felt like the wax wasn’t quite adhesive enough – I have to say the result was not as as clean as I’ve liked.
