It’s nearly Valentine’s day! So here are some affordable and fun fragrance choices for you (and the chance to win either set at the end of this post).
I’ve got the Breaking Bad (yes really) Eau De Toilette gift set for super fans and also Binky’s fragrance.
Breaking Bad Hits you with waves of fresh, uplifting and euphoric orange, crash into bitter grapefruit and are sparked with hits of stimulating hot pepper. Clean and metallic notes combine with green geranium and aromatic lavender which then darkens into smoky swirls of spicy black cardamom. Fall into dark, carnal and inky base notes of oakmoss enveloping ambers, deep dark wools and hypnotic leather melting into black vanilla and vetiver.
So I gave this the the Mr to use and for his opinion which was –
The packaging and presentation is COOL. That’s the best word he could come up with. It is super super cool apparently, everything from the test tube bottles for the bubble bath to the collectors card. You also get a travel sized fragrance AND a full sized one.
I personally found the scent quite sharp to begin with – peppery – that quickly fades and becomes quite a typical male scent in that it is quite heady, punchy and a little bit spicy too. It is generic enough to appeal to most men; it is neither overly spicy or deep, nor overly fruity or zesty. It’s a bit of an all rounder.
Then there is Binky Felstead’s Wild fragrance, which again is an affordable fragrance for teens or people starting out with their fragrance library.
The scent contains top notes of bergamot and tea; with heart notes of jasmine, freesia and orchid; and a base of rose and patchouli.
It’s an affordable scent and for the price (under £20) for a 50ml spray and body butter, it’s decent . It’s very floral, quite sweet and clean too. I love tea, bergamot, jasmine AND rose in a perfume and whilst I could detect these notes at first, they faded quite quickly.
Then again, at this price point I imagine this is a nice present for a teenager (the bottle is pretty) so the longevity is perhaps not such an issue.
Now do you want to win both? One for you, one for your loved one?
