Urban Decay Ocho Loco 24/7 Glide On Pencil Set

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencils are one of my favourite eye pencils – my favourite colours are the golds and bronzes in the range.  When I saw this Ocho Loco set which features 8 full size eye pencils (24/7 gift sets usually feature mini pencils) I had to have it!

The set includes:

NEW SHADES: Mushroom (taupe-pewter metallic), Hustle (medium brown metallic), Psychedelic Sister (bright purple shimmer) and LSD (navy w/bright turquoise shimmer).

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: Junkie (teal w/bright gold shimmer).

BEST-SELLERS: Rockstar (darkest eggplant), Perversion (blackest-black matte) and Stash (dark green/gold).

I looked everywhere for a stockist for this in the UK – in the end it was House of Fraser and HQ Hair. I ordered with HQ Hair because of the free delivery and it took forever to arrive! Grrr.

Here are the pencils; I was most looking forward to using Mushroom, Perversion and Stash. There’s also a sharpener with this kit (a good eye pencil sharpener is essential).  The gift box it came in was made of plastic, it wasn’t particularly nice to look at…just in case you are thinking of gifting it to someone. Urban Decay Ocho Loco 24 7 Glide On Pencil 1

These pencils like all 24/7’s are really creamy and pigmented.  I still think some shades work better than others especially on my watery eyes that just seem to repel colour sometimes!

I don’t know if the formula of these have changed – as much as I still love them I found them more smudgy than my old pencils. I lined my eyes with Perversion (the deep black) and ended up with make up everywhere by the end of the day…it was like I had been crying…for a long time…

Even so, if you are a 24/7 fan this is one to check out, since they’re full size they’ll last and if you are a newbie, this is really a really good kit to start with since the pencils are more like £10 on their own usually!

I paid £40 for this from HQHair.
