My hair is heavily reliant on products these days to keep me from looking like I’ve electrocuted myself whilst unplugging my iPhone in the mornings, and in all honesty I am still looking for my perfect combo.
Tigi Bed Head is not a range I use regularly at all but this Candy Fixations range just looked so cute! I love the packaging and the ideas behind it; the products smell of sweet things!
I have the Totally Baked Hair Meringue Mousse & Candy Fixation Glaze Haze Smoothing Serum:
The Hair Meringue is a mousse and Glaze Haze Smoothing serum. With so many textures around mousse and serum seem almost old fashioned! Mousse in particular, gives me nightmares; how I picture the girls at high school with their crispy, flaky curls.
I have yet to use a mousse that isn’t a teeny weeny bit crispy.
The Totally Baked mousse offers:
- Humidity resistant with hold
– Base texturiser for long-lasting shape retention
– Adds volume on all hair types.
You are supposed to ‘emulsify’ the mousse before applying it to the hair.
I found that this mousse if added to dry hair goes crispy. If used on totally wet hair it’s no so great either but used on nearly dry hair it does a great job of controlling frizz and adding texture. It also smells so good; like a cup cake factory!!! People will be following you down the street thinking of cake, I promise thee.
The glaze haze is a high shine serum which smooths the cuticle and reduces drying time. It can be used on wet or dry hair and should be run through the mid lengths to ends of the hair.
Once again the serum smells lovely, like sweet stuff and works quite well at calming down the frizz. I don’t like using these serums on dry hair once again I hate the greasy look so I mix 4x pumps of the mousse and 2 pumps of the glaze haze (I have a lot of hair).
It works a treat if I let it dry naturally – a sort of neutral wave. However, my hair does need some extra balm or hair oil to stop it from looking dry but this is more hair care, rather than hair styling.
A surprising hit from Tigi Bed Head, this range just smells so good and works well too. Like most hair products I imagine it will last quite a while. The Glaze Haze is £8.95 and Totally Baked Hair Mousse is £10.65 from Feel Unique.
