I have two babies. I get very little sleep. The more they sleep the more I get to rest but it’s not something you can necessarily control – therefore I do welcome natural and gentle ways of helping them fall asleep and stay asleep.
This Works is well known for it’s Sleep Sprays, lovely lavender scented sprays – I reviewed one here. They also do one for babies!
There are million Lavender scented sleep solutions for kids out there but I would only use something that is gentle and safe for the babies. I do have to be careful with anything that comes in touch with the kids skin as they have eczema so essential oils are something I don’t use on them often. This formula by This Works is NOT cheap but it is natural and carefully blended to be safe for babies form 3 months old.
Designed for use with children and babies, the Baby Sleep Pillow Spray from this works is a safety approved, ultra gentle version of the brand’s award-winning deep sleep pillow spray. Working to lull your baby into a peaceful sleep, this spray is expertly blended with relaxing and calming lavender, vetivert and chamomile. Free from parabens, phthalates, sulphates and synthetic fragrance.
Ingredients list is on the back of the box:
Like the original spray this stuff does smell quite strongly of Lavender etc. they don’t hold back on the scent! It’s very pleasant and very relaxing and the kids seem to like it. When I used it the kids seemed to settle down faster and stayed sleep longer – it seemed to contribute towards a restful sleep.
However one caveat – when spraying this on the pillow although it is safe I would recommend waiting for it to dry off completely before putting baby down. I put the little one down once when the pillow spray had just been spritzed and it made his face a little red – no doubt his sensitive cheeks reacting to this product. If I do it 15 minutes before he goes to bed, it works absolutely fine though so bear this in mind.
This is not cheap at £16 but as it’s been blended to be safe I would choose this for my babies over using an adult spray or something that could potentially be bad for their little lungs.
