I am having the least sleep and rest EVER, and it might have something to do with a little butterball!
Anyway I am noticing dark circles, fine lines and dark circles appearing extra fast. Whilst I try and find an super charged eye cream, I am also all about the concealing at the moment.
I spotted this super cute set from The Face Shop and had to buy – a Bye Bye Dark Circle Concealer which comes in a pen form and a Bright Pact Setting Powder (you have to buy separately but they are part of the same range).
The concealer contains Kiwi and Broccoli extract (apparently) and offers sun protection (SPF 30), anti wrinkle and whitening properties at the same time.
The packaging is tres cute; I love it. The pen is the same size as regular pen type concealers and the powder is a slightly small powder which comes with a sponge.
The concealer is a very light textured pale salmon colour. It actually love eye brightener type pens in this salmon colour which brighten the eye area without looking heavy or unnatural. The light texture doesn’t settle into lines and makes the eye area feel hydrated and glowy.
The powder is a very pile light whitish pink. The texture is smooth although it’s slightly powdery. It’s made to set the make up and adds extra brightness.
So here’s how it goes – bare scary eye:
Applying the concealer:
My area feels a lot brighter – I don’t know if this would work for mega dark eye circles and discolouration or for people with dark skin tones – I think it could come up a bit ashy.
On it’s own I am happy with the finish as I like a soft glow. The powder is a nice texture and adds a bit of brightness. However I think it looks slightly cakey but I do have extremely dry skin.
I am a fan of the Bye Bye Dark Circle Concealer – it makes my eyes feel really hydrated and soft and really brightens things up but without looking unnatural – sometimes concealer looks so racoony when people overdo it.
The powder is nice but I can’t say I like it enough to repurchase it. It’s nice having a brightening powder but I don’t like anything look cakey under my eyes and in a way, my regular face powder will keep everything a bit more balanced and evened out.
Purchased from eBay for £6-8 each.
