Tweet I still hate this palette with a passion, but I had to make it work. So here’s a quick EOTD: Breakdown: 1 – Highlight under brow bone 2 – Brown in crease 3 – Bright blue on lid 4 – Purple under the eye 5 – Dark blue under the lashes I guess the palette is ok, but I still concede that I NEED SHIMMER!

Tweet UPDATE: I regret buying the stupid eyeshadow palette so much. It’s pigmented but still a bit chalky and I still concede that there should be one shimmer in the palette. Argh! I wish I could get a refund! Do you like YSL? I liked the brand although its not one I buy from that often. It was hard not to like the Tresor D’Arfrique collection after seeing the promo: Hot, eh? It was pretty much hot of the press {Read More}

Gothtastic: YSL Gloss Pur Black

Tweet You know you are about to buy something, and all the time you’re thinking, no, don’t buy this, its a really bad idea. But you buy it anyway? That’s how I felt when I shelled out £17.32 (or some other ridiculous figure – our VAT/TAX rate has been cut from 17.5% to 15% and most retailers have been forwarding the discount to shoppers but clearly haven’t had time to make it a nice round figure) for YSL’s Gloss in {Read More}

YSL Quint disappointment

Tweet So off I went on my lunch, accosting the YSL counter full of excitement.  Remember I was looking the for YSL Quints – the green, lilac and blue all looked amazing. Swipe.  Swipe.  Swipe. Ok they were ok.  The green is the softest and nicest in my opinion but the colours were oh-so-flat.  Some of the high end brands seem to do this; YSL, Chanel, Dior, have somewhat medium pigmented shades so the finished look is not too over {Read More}

YSL Rouge Volupte Update

Tweet After my previous dabble with YSL Rouge Volupte, I decided to have a little dabble in 2 other shades of pink. But before I get into that I have to confirm that – 1. The case is gorgeous and it matched the lipstick 2. It smells nice 3. The texture is smooth, creamy and gorgeous 4. The pigmentation is high and the colour is true. Yet…I have my doubts…. On with the lippies – Remember my no-love for Lingerie {Read More}

Tweet You know how there’s some things that just make you go, Cor! Like; Errr, wait bad photo…like… and… Something else made me go Cor! It was YSL’s new Rouge Volupte Lipstick. The case is just STUN. NING. This is what they say about it: The cream texture becomes fluid on contact with the lips, for a delightful feeling and an exceptional gliding effect. A nutri-protective vegetal complex takes care of nourishes your lips, keeping them smooth, soft and comfortable. {Read More}

Mascara Mission Post 4: YSL Faux Cils!

Tweet YSL Faux Cils is one of those consistently complimented products with many, many fans. Coming in a signature flashy gold tube, it certainly makes you feel glamorous… I didn’t realise but I have four tubes in different colours: Black, Blue, Burgundy and Purple. My favorite is the blue, which really stands out and the warm burgundy: So onwards with the test. Faux Cils has a very noticable scent which I personally would describe as ‘old dressing table’. It used {Read More}

YSL 2008 Collection, time to whip out the Boots Card!

Tweet Just when you think it’s safe and you got over Christmas, there’s a little thing called Spring Collections. If there’s any collections I am always a sucker for, its Kate, Lavshuca, Chanel, Majolica Majorca, Shu Uemura and MAQUillage. Then there are always other things that lead you from the straight and narrow, like MAC! But recently, YSL has been catching my eye. I loved the White Gold collection mainly for the quad. Spring ’08 has some innovative products too {Read More}
