See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Magic Mushroom is a pale pink which has a sort of iridescent glow to it, reminding me of a inner shell. Very cute! It is light enough to be a highlighter, the pink is very subtle. It’s the pearly edge this has which makes it quite unique.
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Cop-a-Teal is one of the more popular shades in the Too Faced Intense Eyeshadow range and it’s really easy to see why! This gorgeous pigmented rich deep teal shade has a beautiful texture and just looks really pretty on: In the pan it doesn’t look that extraordinary.
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Poison Orchid, so I am told is one of the more popular shades in the Too Faced Color Intense range! It’s a mid toned purple which looks like a blackened purple in the pan. Purple is one of my favourite colours for the eyes in that, I know it suits me more than other shades, yet I still reach for green more often! […]
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Petal to the Metal is one of 3 knockout shades in the Too Faced Exotic Color range. It’s a brown infused with blue/green – I know there are quite a few brands which now do the blue/green/brown thing, but I still find it a real novelty and I still think it’s such an interesting mix of colours. I favour blue-green over green-blue, which […]
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! There are two purple-y toned shades in the Too Faced Exotic Colour collections, one is this lilac type colour, and the other is a deeper Orchid shade. We’ll get on to that later. Violet Femme is a light creamy purple with gold sparkles: It looks a little powdery no? From another angle you can see the gold sparkles more:
Hope Girl is a Korean cosmetic and skincare brand that I recently discovered whilst browsing eBay! I was suckered in my the leopard print packaging. I purchased 4 of their ‘Milky Balm Lipsticks’ because they are supposed to have a creamy hydrating texture: They come in boxes like this. There’s something a bit dated about them but oh well, we’re not here for the boxes! These lipsticks are quite pigmented which is unusual as […]
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! There are some lighter shades in the Exotic Color range, which is interesting because I don’t really think of pale hues as ‘intense’. I guess it makes sense to mix it up though. Firefly is a pale cream which has tons and tons of sparkles and shimmers: See how densely packed in the glitter is?!
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Midnight Mist from the Too Faced Exotic Color Intense shadows is a deep rich blue with fine silvery shimmer: From another angle it actually looks purple:
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Next up with my Too Faced swatches is Copper Peony, which is a golden orange type shade: I do like warm golds but I think with the choice between a really cool toned gold or one like this, I would go for cool…
More Essence make up coming up! So when I was in Hungary I bought loads of random drugstore make up to test out. This cheapy range, Essence had a new collection out at the time called Vampire’s Love, a few random items. I thought the polishes looked ok so I bought all five from the collection: 01 Gold Old Buffy – Deep chocolate black with gold glitter 02 Into the dark – Dark blue with […]
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Next up in the Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Swatches is a very pretty spring/summer colour, Nice Stems! Nice Stems! is described as a ‘Golden Clover’ which just makes me think of the spreadable butter. It’s a very fresh zingy wearable green which lots of shimmer: Can’t wear this alone. It needs some liner, it needs some definition. This is the kind […]
I quite like Too Faced although as brand, I feel like they’ve disappeared off my radar for quite a while. I just don’t seem to see the products on my favourite blogs very often, or in magazines so I don’t really know what their new launches are. I spotted a super pretty eyeshadow of theirs on ASOS called Cop-a-Teal, but it wasn’t on sale. Some eBaying led me to a seller who had the whole […]
Despite the fact I barely wear nail polish (no patience) I can’t stop collecting pretty ones! I saw these Skinfood Fruit Drink polishes a while ago on eBay…they were a bargain price so I purchased 3 colours. They don’t smell like fruit or anything like that, they just have a fruity inspired colours. Here are the three shades: 04 – Lychee Drink 07 – Raspberry Drink 03 – Grapefruit Drink
Models Own Beetlejuice was talked about with such passion from Nail Polish loving bloggers that I just had to purchase all 5 of the colours on launch. I can see why people love it so much…it’s a gorgeous looking! Each bottle contains four pearlescent colours mixed into one gleaming shade for an optimum high finish. Inspired by the beautiful wings of a beetle, this collection mimics the complex colour-shifting with flashes of vivid tones and […]
Slowly but surely, Paul & Joe have been rehauling their make up. They haven’t changed the actual exterior packaging (good) but they’ve been swapping over their eyeshadows, lipsticks, face products for some time. Their classic eye glosses, which were so good and unique to Paul & Joe have changed to the Eye Gloss Duos…. They say: Inspired by the summer sun and the ocean, these eye colours let you create a range of beautiful looks. […]
When I saw the Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs eyeshadow palettes, there was definitely one in the world for me. Do you ever sense that about a product? That there is one that is just made for you? Palettes with bright green or black; they are usually indicators that I will love them!
The thing about glittery eyeliners is that they can look really pretty, or really cheap and tacky. It’s the same for the textures; I’ve always found very glittery eye pencils to be quite hard and scratchy, and very hard to use on my delicate eyes. I quite like the now discontinued (I think) Nars Chubby Glitter Pencils as they were creamy, but they creased and smudged a lot. On the other hand, the Sisley Phyto […]
Despite being a big fan of cream eyeshadows, I never truly invested in Nars ones because they always creased. They were brilliant as bases though, as they are quite thick and sticky in comparison to other formulas but worn on their own; they didn’t quite do it for me. I spotted one of their newest cream eyeshadow colours, Ponderosa on ASOS at a discounted price: If you keep an eye on ASOS you will find […]
I have already expressed a love for Top Shop nail polishes! I was gifted these two extremely bright nail polishes from the range to try. How bright are these? Make a change from winter reds I guess! The shades are Marine Scene, a bright blue and Jewel in the Crown, a teal. I find the shape of these polishes pleasing – maybe it’s their simplicity.
Another Tony Moly Nail Polish! They have yet another small series of colours called neon, which consists of a neon pink, neon blue and this neon orange/coral. I love a tacky neon polish! This orange is no where near as bright as I expected though! It isn’t muted, don’t get me wrong! But it isn’t quite as luminous as I expected.
