I read a piece today on that high class rag, The News of The World about Primark, you know the shop I love to hate and their staff posting abuse about their customers. Article is here. Example: Meanwhile a women’s department assistant moans at “hefty” shoppers who need to “lose some f****** weight” instead of insisting they are a 16 “when they are obviously a 22 or 24″. They of course did it on a […]
I don’t just buy make up I don’t need! – I love to buy gifts for people and crafty arty things. Anyway this some random bits I bought this week. I had a hellish trip to Primark at lunchtime this week. It was awful. The Primark crowd is an unusual one; a mixture of nutters, students, the unemployed* and bizarrely enough, mothers with several children who feel the need to bring their kids to the […]
theBalm is a make up brand from San Francisco which reminds me of Benefit with its retro packaging and multi purposes cosmetics – but its better. The Orla Kiely is wonderful, it has lined, plain and squared pages. I’m going to use this for blog related stuff. The other one is for my writing. I was torn between Virginia and Welles (1984) but decided the ‘A […]
…apart from Make Up. I have to say beauty related items are my biggest weakness, but I have some others too! 1. Books I have a huge, huge weakness for books. I have three bookshelves and they are all collapsing. The thing is I don’t see books as a luxury item – books are a way of living. I don’t read much fiction anymore, I prefer non-fiction books. . I always buy from Amazon, free […]
