Peripera has a set of 5 new ‘satin’ polish colours – all very elegant, metallic and shiny! I chose just one of the shades because I felt the other colours (although pretty) are a bit….dated. I don’t know…I picture my mum wearing them circa 1993. I chose the most modern colour which is the snotty Green Khaki: Pretty! There’s something about metallics though, it can make chubby fingers look…chubbier. Why didn’t I inherit my mothers […]
I mentioned in an earlier post that the Peripera green polishes are gorgeous – they are! This one Metallic Green is a real beauty: Does this green infused with gold toned pearl remind you of anything? Yes! Missha Crystal Polish in HGR01!
I remember the first time I used a crackle polish (it was Barry M) and i was amazed, Mr C was amazed, the cousins were amazed. These days you can buy crackle polishes everywhere! Every brand makes them and in different colours too! Peripera also has a range, called ‘Zebra’ nails: I chose just 1 shade in the gold. I am a bit over the zebra crackle thing although it is funky.
Metallic Coral is a rather interesting nail polish from Peripera, a cute pink with a yellow gold edge to it. I love the pearl running through it although sometimes it feels a bit 80s to me…
The Peripera Crystal range of polishes are particularly pretty; they leave a foiled finish as opposed to a super sparkly, or metallic one which I really like! Crystal Yellow looks yellow on the swatch but it is more og a yellow gold as opposed to a true yellow: There’s such a gorgeous fine shimmer to it!
I don’t usually go for pale nail polishes but this Peripera Nail Polish in Crystal Beige looked very wearable with a foil finish: The cat shaped lid will never get old for me! This gold has loads of tiny micro-sparkles which gives it that finished look. It only takes 2 coats to get a really nice finish!
Probably my favourite Peripera polish of all the colours I hauled – P013 Crystal Brown is a beautiful elegant, fine shimmered brown. A lot of the muted colours you can buy these days are quite ‘dead’ and ‘muddy’ aren’t they? Sometimes I feel like a colour that is a bit drab but most of the time…what are nails there for if not to sparkle!?
The green polishes from the Peripera range are gorgeous – real beauties! This is one of the darkest greens from the Smoky range *their spelling of smoky!* – a deep dark forest green. Peripera polishes are nice and fairly easy to apply.
Come ye, Come ye…for the next few days I will be swatching my Peripera nail polish haul to show you what these pretty, pretty varnishes look like! I’ll get the facts out with this post! Peripera is a fairly small beauty company from Korea! Their polishes is one of their big ranges and comes in this formula (perfume enamel) and a one coat quick finish formula. The Perfume Enamel polishes come in this cute format […]
I wonder if you can suddenly catch a beauty disease? I think I have temporarily dropped the lipstick disease for the nail polish one. I can’t stop buying them! I generally favour bright shades, like hot pinks and corals – they look best with my skintone although I am growing to like these sort of dirty muted nudes too. These are the shades you’d buy jumpers in right? For work? Tony Moly polishes are lovely, […]
I have had a huge crush on a nail polish this last week, and it’s all because of RMK! There are 4 new seasonal shades launched with the Autumn 2011 Dusty Bright collection – P24 Gold Beige, P25 Gray, P26 Deep Red and EX06 Green. EX06 is the only limited edition shade in the collection. I have been looking for an elegant green that can be worn every day without making me look 12 years […]
One of the things I look for when it comes to nail polish is that it is fast drying..although no matter how fast it dries I always seem to smudge my polish! How do people stay still enough for their polish to dry completely?!?! I have had a few No. 17 Polishes before and I have to say, I am impressed with them. These 3 colours are fairly new releases! No 17 Fast Finish Nail […]
My latest brand crush is Peripera, a Korean brand which is fairly inexpensive and has an impressive nail polish and lipstick selection, amongst other things! Expect to see lots of Peripera on the blog as I slowly get through new products to review! Now – Peripera has a scented nail polish range which has a cats butt on it (more info shortly) – the colours are gorgeous and pretty and they also have this cheaper […]
Finally the 5th and final shade in the Tony Moly Galaxy collection is GT05 a purple toned polish. It has purple and blue glitters and is quite chunky. I know a lot of people who love purple polishes although it’s not really my thing – they seem to look better on other people!
Another super chunky glitter nail polish from Tony Moly Galaxy Nail Polish! Like the copper one I swatched yesterday, GT04 is a very glittery thick green. I love green. There are some real strengths to the glitter polishes; they are so densely packed and not wishy washy at all.
Today’s polish is Tony Moly Galaxy Polish in GT03, one of my favourites which is a rich copper and bronze. The base is sort of a golden brown but you can’t see it for all the glitter! It looks a bit simple in there but on the nail there is more too it; copper, gold, red, even a hint of blue.
Today I have Tony Moly Galaxy Nail Polish in GT02 which is a dark navy blue base (to me anyway) with tons of micro sparkles. It is similar to GT01 (reviewed yesterday) although the glitter is finer and there are fewer contrasts in the colour. I think it’s more elegant GT01. The glitters in this are red, blue, some gold. It feels finer on the nail than the other polishes which are like sandpaper!
I love a shimmery and glittery polish – why? Because any idiot can apply a glitter polish and make it look good, present company included. Having said that I despise removing them -urgh. But I love the effect. I either don’t wear a polish or wear something quite striking, nothing inbetween. When I spotted these Tony Moly Galaxy polishes back in June (I know, I’m so behind) I had to buy all of them! Tony […]
I have been hauling nail polishes a lot recently – I love collecting them but I really can’t be bothered applying it most of the time – when they make drying times 1 minute or less, then I’m game. Otherwise…I just end up staring at every imperfection. I do it to other people…if you see ever see someone glaring at your nails in the lift, it’s me, it’s totally me. I bought 2 cool chunky […]
To be honest I haven’t bought anything from Illamasqua for a while. Maybe its because it’s quite dark and brooding and I’ve been in the mood for princessy and light packaging lately! However – I was sent three products from the Illamasqua ‘Theatre of the Nameless’ collection to try. I hadn’t seen the collection so I didn’t have a clue what to expect. Nail Polish in Kink £13.50, Blusher in Ambition £16.50 and Precision Ink […]
