Sisley 2013 Spring Summer California Soul Collection

CALIFORNIA-SOUL-Sisley-2013.jpg

Tweet Sisley’s Spring-Summer look is called California Soul, and it is inspired by the ‘American Dream’ – the sunny getaway on the Californian Coast.  I found this collection quite interesting because the eyes are kept neutral and the lips are sheer-juicy bright – the overall look is quite casual but glowy.  The products (Sisley often only release one or two new things with a collection, and uses other products in their existing collection) are: The Orchidee Palette – Highlighter Blush {Read More}

Super Super Super Stay! Solone Eyeshadow and Eyeliner ‘Smoody’ Pencil Review!

Solone-Eyeshadow-and-Eyeliner-_Smoody_-Pencil-Review.jpg

Tweet Solone is a Taiwanese make up brand from…Taiwan, silly, and they make a rather popular eyeliner pencil which they call the “Solone Gel Line Smoody Pencil”.  This pencil is waterproof, it can be blended and used as an eyeshadow or liner. They also happen to be quite inexpensive so I picked up three from eBay for around £14 including shipping which is about the price of one high end eyeliner (ie. MAC, Urban Decay etc.): They’re nicely packaged too {Read More}

Organic Creme Colour! Inika Creme Eye Shadow and Creme Colour for Cheeks & Lips Review

Inika-Creme-Eye-Shadow-and-Creme-Colour-for-Cheeks-Lips-Review.jpg

Tweet Inika is a beauty range known for it’s organic beauty products (most well known perhaps it’s mineral liquid and powder foundations) and they have very recently launched some organic creme cosmetics to add to the collection! There are two Creme Eye Shadows (£18) in Cappuccino and Champagne, then two Creme Colour colours for cheeks and lips (£22) in Dusty Rose and Rosehip.  The range is quite small to begin with although the colours they’ve created are very neutral and {Read More}

Highlight / Contour! Esprique Light Control Stick 01 and Shade Control Stick 02 Review!

Esprique-Light-Control-Stick-01-and-Shade-Control-Stick-02-2

Tweet When it comes to contouring, I am pretty lazy (and incapable) of doing any chiselled looks – but I still like a bit of bronzing and highlighting to add some shape to the face.  Obviously it’s not something I do every day but every now and then it’s nice to do a proper full face of make up! Whilst I have lots of powder contours, I do prefer cream textures. I have a Tom Ford contour palette which is {Read More}

Liquid Eyeliner Love! Coffret D’or Black Keep Liner WP Super Sharp in BK-34 Review

Coffret-D_or-Black-Keep-Liner-WP-Super-Sharp-in-BK-34.jpg

Tweet I am a huge fan of liquid eyeliners; my favourite type is the pen sort that looks like a felt tip pen but has some give in the nib.  Additionally, I usually likes ones you can pump so you can control the amount of product coming through. I personally find that the refillable pens are inkier and deeper than the ones that are disposable.  Ever since my Shu Uemura one died (the nib began to fray) I have been {Read More}

Nars American Dream Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Nars-American-Dream-Eyeshadow-Palette-Review-1.jpg

Tweet My final Nars Artist Palette to review is the American Dream palette.  Of all the palettes I purchased (or got Mr C to purchase!) this was the one I was the most excited about getting in the post.   The palette is quite shimmery with the exception of Bali which is a neutral matte brown. But more about the shade later.

Nars Pleasures of Paris Palette (Douceurs de Paris) Review & Swatches

Nars-Pleasures-of-Paris-Palette.jpg

Tweet Now on to my third palette this week for review; Pleasures of Paris / Douceurs de Paris.  As mentioned in previous posts, I collect these Nars artists palettes, and I do really like them for their handy size and usually – winning combinations.   As always Nars features colours from other Duos or Solos.  I quite like how they do this as generally – not always – they pick the stronger colour of the duos!  Pleasures of Paris is {Read More}

Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipstick Moist in 03 Fuyuzakura & EX-05 Hanabotan Review & Swatches

Suqqu-Creamy-Glow-Lipstick-03-EX-05.jpg

Tweet For Christmas, Mr C asked me to provide a list of some bits and bobs that I wanted, and on that list were a few Suqqu lipsticks which I would usually find on the steep side (£27 each) to buy as a little perk me up. I thought that two of the Autumn/Winter 2012 Suqqu Creamy Glow Lipsticks looked like my kinda thing, judging purely on internet swatches;  03 Fuyuzakura & EX-05 Hanabotan.  Fuyuzakura is a creamy pink & Hanabotan {Read More}
