Regular readers will know I love making my own palettes so I asked for this Vidi Vici Lunch Box Quad palette (empty) and 4 refills. You can actually refill this with eyeshadows, blush, eyebrow colour, shader, lip colours – it’s very flexible. I was boring and went for 4 eyeshadows as I knew I wouldn’t bother using a brow powder, lip colours etc. Now, this Lunch Box palette also comes in a 2 pan (soon […]
I have heard so many positive things about the L’oreal Infalliable Eye Colours that I decided to pick up 3 when they were on 3 for 2 in Superdrug. Superdrug seem to be getting their act together and their once very messy counters look tidier and I’ve noticed these eyeshadows were sealed up with tape too to prevent people from opening new products and dipping their fingers in (why do people do that?!). I chose […]
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Finally, we’ll finish with the darkest shade in the Too Faced Exotic Color Intense range! Night Nymph. Night Nymph is a really rich black eyeshadow with silver glitters. You’ve seen this before many times I am sure: Got to love a bit of glitter. I have various black eyeshadows with silver glitter in them and normally, they’re fine but the fall out can […]
Another Christmas present I got from Mr C was a rather impressive haul from Giorgio Armani; impressive because he went and chose a lip gloss for me and I am pretty hard to buy for (I had pretty much hinted about what shades of the Eyes to Kill I wanted in case he got me a really horrible colour). When you buy a few items from Armani they put it in a nice red gift […]
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Frilly Lilly is one of the pale glittery shades in the Color Intense range – it’s a icy white with quite a soft, pigmented texture. As you can see from the chunks of glitter on the case, it is very glittery but not to the point where it falls all over your face leaving you with a glitter cheek.
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Magic Mushroom is a pale pink which has a sort of iridescent glow to it, reminding me of a inner shell. Very cute! It is light enough to be a highlighter, the pink is very subtle. It’s the pearly edge this has which makes it quite unique.
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Cop-a-Teal is one of the more popular shades in the Too Faced Intense Eyeshadow range and it’s really easy to see why! This gorgeous pigmented rich deep teal shade has a beautiful texture and just looks really pretty on: In the pan it doesn’t look that extraordinary.
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Poison Orchid, so I am told is one of the more popular shades in the Too Faced Color Intense range! It’s a mid toned purple which looks like a blackened purple in the pan. Purple is one of my favourite colours for the eyes in that, I know it suits me more than other shades, yet I still reach for green more often! […]
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Petal to the Metal is one of 3 knockout shades in the Too Faced Exotic Color range. It’s a brown infused with blue/green – I know there are quite a few brands which now do the blue/green/brown thing, but I still find it a real novelty and I still think it’s such an interesting mix of colours. I favour blue-green over green-blue, which […]
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! There are two purple-y toned shades in the Too Faced Exotic Colour collections, one is this lilac type colour, and the other is a deeper Orchid shade. We’ll get on to that later. Violet Femme is a light creamy purple with gold sparkles: It looks a little powdery no? From another angle you can see the gold sparkles more:
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! There are some lighter shades in the Exotic Color range, which is interesting because I don’t really think of pale hues as ‘intense’. I guess it makes sense to mix it up though. Firefly is a pale cream which has tons and tons of sparkles and shimmers: See how densely packed in the glitter is?!
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Midnight Mist from the Too Faced Exotic Color Intense shadows is a deep rich blue with fine silvery shimmer: From another angle it actually looks purple:
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Next up with my Too Faced swatches is Copper Peony, which is a golden orange type shade: I do like warm golds but I think with the choice between a really cool toned gold or one like this, I would go for cool…
See the first full review of Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Eyeshadow here! Next up in the Too Faced Exotic Color Intense Swatches is a very pretty spring/summer colour, Nice Stems! Nice Stems! is described as a ‘Golden Clover’ which just makes me think of the spreadable butter. It’s a very fresh zingy wearable green which lots of shimmer: Can’t wear this alone. It needs some liner, it needs some definition. This is the kind […]
I quite like Too Faced although as brand, I feel like they’ve disappeared off my radar for quite a while. I just don’t seem to see the products on my favourite blogs very often, or in magazines so I don’t really know what their new launches are. I spotted a super pretty eyeshadow of theirs on ASOS called Cop-a-Teal, but it wasn’t on sale. Some eBaying led me to a seller who had the whole […]
SANA is a Japanese brand I really like because it has so many funky little quirky products. I like the Super Quick range – it consists of a few products for eyes and lips and focuses on creating quick, easy to use, long lasting items. On a side note, their lip gloss is gorgeous, their mascara is lame. I spotted this cool eye pencil from SANA, a eyeshadow in a stick if you like, which […]
I am not above hauling some Paul & Joe, and since they are quite expensive, I am most definitely up for some bargains. Best place to find cheap Paul & Joe eyeshadows? eBay! I paid about £7 each for each eyeshadow (which is about half price) and £6 for 2 empty palettes. I wanted to do a brown combo palette and a pink one. There’s a space left in my pink palette because I have […]
Slowly but surely, Paul & Joe have been rehauling their make up. They haven’t changed the actual exterior packaging (good) but they’ve been swapping over their eyeshadows, lipsticks, face products for some time. Their classic eye glosses, which were so good and unique to Paul & Joe have changed to the Eye Gloss Duos…. They say: Inspired by the summer sun and the ocean, these eye colours let you create a range of beautiful looks. […]
When I saw the Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs eyeshadow palettes, there was definitely one in the world for me. Do you ever sense that about a product? That there is one that is just made for you? Palettes with bright green or black; they are usually indicators that I will love them!
Despite being a big fan of cream eyeshadows, I never truly invested in Nars ones because they always creased. They were brilliant as bases though, as they are quite thick and sticky in comparison to other formulas but worn on their own; they didn’t quite do it for me. I spotted one of their newest cream eyeshadow colours, Ponderosa on ASOS at a discounted price: If you keep an eye on ASOS you will find […]
