It is so exciting to get your paws on a new make up range, especially when it’s one you have heard lots about but never had a chance to try. Make Up Atelier is one of those brands. Make Up Atelier Paris is a professional make up brand created by Helen Quille – whilst the products are professional and also suitable for heavier stage make up, it is also a consumer brand too. The range […]
Etude House is a Korean brand who are certainly very prolific – they are always releasing new products and colours to existing ranges! This fairly new eyeshadow duo caught my eye – it comes in 4 colour choices and the orange duet really called me… The shade is OR201 – there is also a pink, brown and purple choice. The idea of these duos is to create a fuss free soft and natural looking eye […]
I am not a big buyer of Solo or Single Eyeshadows, because I dislike the fuss of having to find all the colours you want, opening lots of different separate compacts…I like one palette with all the colours I could possibly need. However – it was a long day – we were on a trip and because of a motorway accident, a 3 hour trip took 7, so I ended up taking advantage of […]
I usually try and maintain some kind of system when it comes to reviews, almost a one in one out thing so that I can work through the piles of products in a democratic order. However, sometimes I get something that I like so much I have to push it to the front of the queue…no…this review simply cannot wait. Aveda’s Art of Nature collection for Spring 2013 is a mixture of pastels and […]
YSL’s Spring eyeshadow palette ‘Y Facettes’ is a Wet/DryPure Chromatics Eyeshadow Palette is this very stylish looking number; being spring ‘an all, the colours are fresh and iridescent. This is my very first Pure Chromatics eyeshadow! The Chromatics range has always looked stunning from a distance (yes at a distance…I didn’t want to be tempted!). This palette contains four colours that are pastely-shimmery-iridecent with multi toned shimmer.
Solone is a Taiwanese make up brand from…Taiwan, silly, and they make a rather popular eyeliner pencil which they call the “Solone Gel Line Smoody Pencil”. This pencil is waterproof, it can be blended and used as an eyeshadow or liner. They also happen to be quite inexpensive so I picked up three from eBay for around £14 including shipping which is about the price of one high end eyeliner (ie. MAC, Urban Decay etc.): […]
‘And God Created Woman’ is a classing French film directed by Roger Vadim and stars Brigette Bardot, back when she was young, so stunning and less…controversial. You know Nars really does seem to love his beautiful film legends… Anyhoo..I spotted this little beauty a few months ago on the official Nars website (I collect their artist palettes, so frequently look to see if a new one has come out as they are not all publicised). […]
Spring make up collections tend to be somewhat pastel based and shimmery; this is fine if you like pastel based and shimmer but sometimes these colours can feel quite – to quite my 12 year old cousin – blah. My first thoughts when seeing the Estée Lauder Pretty Naughty Five Colour Eyeshadow Palette was not ‘blah’, rather ‘eh?’. The limited edition palette from Estée Lauder from the ‘Pretty Naughty’ collection is very playful but also quite unusual […]
