I don’t just buy make up I don’t need! – I love to buy gifts for people and crafty arty things. Anyway this some random bits I bought this week.
I had a hellish trip to Primark at lunchtime this week. It was awful. The Primark crowd is an unusual one; a mixture of nutters, students, the unemployed* and bizarrely enough, mothers with several children who feel the need to bring their kids to the busiest shop in town and don’t feel the need to tell them off when they roll around the floor, licking up the dirt.
*Perpetually unemployed and unwilling to get a job. I won’t count the ones who have been made redundant..ahem.
I nearly bought some Primark flip flops until I realised in the queue, 10 other women had them too. Nah.
Anyway they are good for some things – I got this cool travel bottle kit -inside was 3 bottles, 3 plastic pots, the clear bag and a funnel AND preprinted stickers…for £1 !!!! Amazing.
I also got a big comfy headband for when I wash my face for £1.47:
Primark has a new rather cool looking make up range but I knew I would only spend £10 on random bits that I would swatch once and never use again.
Cle De Pea Make Up > Primark Make Up
My cousin is forever drawing on herself which irritates the hell out of me – she’s 14 you see and in love with Kat Von D. I bought her this kit:
The pens are body safe and wash off with some soap. I decided it would be better for her than a combination of tippex and sharpie.
My current make up bag may be Chanel but it has holes in the design meaning my pencils always roll out. I got this ZPM kitten make up bag for £10, and its zipped – hurrah!
Did you buy anything cool this week?

The tattoo pens are a really cute idea, I would have loved them when I was a teen.
I have to admit, I’ve been dying to talk about my recent buys, but my friends and family don’t get excited about make-up at all.
I got this really pretty lipgloss: Bourjois 3D max in cassis pétillant. The colour is so flattering, I’m not too keen on the strange plastic applicator, but it’s usable.
And even better: I snagged a Givenchy Prismissime eyeshadow palette on ebay, the #53 arty (I think it was a LE). Amazing colours.
LOVE the make up bag!
I agree on everything you said about shopping primark – had a similar experience on Friday!!! x
Hi Amira
Woahh I have Givenchy Prismissime in Arty its SO cute. I like bourjois glosses too but they are a bit scented for me. I am always hauling even if its not make up hehe its good to talk about them!
Hi Salsa Fairy
Oh yes…….on a Friday too! Its just…suicide inducing.
Your make up bag reminds me of Paul & Joe or Cath Kidston. Both brands that we don’t get here in Canada
