Stylenanda is a hip (think Urban Outfitters) Korean clothing brand that also has a cool make up range called 3CE, or 3 Concept Eyes. The range is mid range, about £10 for a lipstick but the imagery is excellent – for one lipstick there might be upwards of 15 pictures of it being modelled which is unheard of for most brands. I have acquired quite a few 3CE lipsticks due to their amazing images with so-so results. Anyway I couldn’t resist buying this lipstick in Old Dress, a matte mauve.
One day I will get round to reviewing and watching all my 3CE lipsticks but I can tell you, they are so-so. Some are great, some are average. There are a LOAD OF FAKES so only buy from a reputable seller. The fakes from China look pretty awful so you should be able to tell. The products should not be costing you £2 or something ridiculous. This lipstick cost me £16 with shipping.
The reason why I wanted it despite it being a bit dearer than expected is because I am in to soft mattes at the moment (no transfer on to my kids faces) and I love this sort of deep mauve purple rose shade. It’s natural but different at the same time.
This one is quite pigmented – I found other 3CE mattes too dry to apply well but this one has a decent amount of softness to go along with the pigment. Swatch:
The finish is a soft matte rather than a retro matte look and I like it – it’s totally wearable, quite comfortable to wear and long lasting. It’s not as soft as a MAC matte (regular formula) but still totally comfortable and pigmented.
Not much else to say but this is one of the better 3CE lipsticks:
