Stila has some really good value gift sets out for Christmas time which are usually a good way to get a mixture of shades for a decent price (if you don’t mind minis). I like a good mini because I never ever ever finish a full size lip product anyway so I find they last me long enough and are compact too.
When I first tried the Stila All Day Liquid Lipsticks I found them too dry on my already dry lips. In the last year I have tried the formula again and perhaps it has been adjusted or my lips aren’t as dry but I’ve found them to be one of the best liquid lipsticks on the market for not drying the hell out of your lips.
Anyway I ended up buying this mini set (£18) called Naturally Nude. You get 3 shades in here:
I have wanted Patina for a long time (a dusty rose) and this set is a nice way to own that and two other shades for the price of one full sizer! The other two shades, Perla (pale dusty pink) and Seranata (described as a cognac rose but I think it is more of a beige brown) are exclusive to this kit.
In case you don’t already know, the All Day Liquid Lipstick formula is a matte finish, creamy, opaque, highly pigmented formula. It is not for everyone- if you want soft glossy shiny lips, then clearly this is not for you. However, the matte lip is very on trend right now!
Each lipstick has 1.5ml of product which doesn’t sound like much but I am confident it will last me quite a while.
I also really like the smell of these – vanilla…reminds me of cake!
As soon as I swatched these shades I was like; yes! For a nude lip lover, these colours are the right balance of nude but pretty. There’s something for all skintones here.
Perla is the light blue based pink. Of all three this is the one I am least likely to wear all the time as it is a little pale for me, but it would look great of paler skintones.
Seranata is a brownish taupe soft brown colour.
Patina is the shade from the currently main collection and is a highly wearable natural dusty rose which I really like – it is my favourite shade.
Overall I love these nude colours and the formula!
