Starting the Chris James Cleanse Detox Today!

Firstly I need to say – I will spend a few hours today answering comments – have just been very busy lately.

Secondly – I am starting an interesting regime today called the Chris James Detox!

It’s a detox not like other ones I’ve tried before – you get a big pack of 7 supplements and a booklet which tells you what to do. The diet is essentially vegan, with a power phase, which is like fasting (you have a liquid only diet).

It’s quite complicated but I’ve decided, rather than over thinking it, to dive in head first (and get myself down to the supermarket). Sometimes the strictness of such a diet works better for me (like how the first phase of the impossibly difficult Dukan is).

What I like about it so far:

- It’s just 12 days. Even I can do 12 days.
- The 12 days is split into 4 phases, meaning it doesn’t feel like a long term jail sentence.
- Most people experience WEIGHT LOSS!
- Actually more important than that, you are supposed to feel a lot better, less sluggish, with a better digestive system etc – all of this I really really do need.

  1. The only thing that winds me up about diets and detox is that I can go months without eating KFC or something bad like that without craving it yet the second I decide to go on a diet and TELL myself I can’t have it, I crave it.

    The single most worst diet I have ever done was the Gillian McKeith one, it looked so easy on her programme that I decided to buy the book at do it. Two weeks in, I knew it wasn’t for me as my diet had dramatically changed but I hadn’t lost any weight and I was exercising like a fiend every day. The straw that broke the camel’s back was day 16 or something when I found myself craving a salad sandwich. Seriously!! WHAT KIND OF DIET MAKES YOU CRAVE SALAD?!

    I know this isn’t a diet and it’s more of a detox but I just had to get my diet story out. Good luck with it!

      How can anything Gillian McKeith makes be good?! Mind you I too bought her book when she first made it on the tv. It’s disheartening when you do these diets and don’t lose anything. The dukan is a good one it works super quick! I wonder if this detox diet is low cal? I haven’t checked!

  2. I wonder if it’ll help my acne? There was a detox thing like this for acne, that says eat nothing but apples for 2 days. I did. I hate apples now, with a passion. But it didn’t make much of a difference!

      I get the odd breakout so I will keep an eye on my skin. I admit it’s day one and i am dying of headaches!
