My lips are so dry lately that I’ve been heavily investing in lip balms and hydrating, plumping lip glosses (keep your eyes out for more reviews of lip plumpers!).
Admittedly, I probably don’t need a lip plumper – I’m not interesting in having a massive blow up doll mouth, I just want smooth and healthy looking lips. So minty, chilli infused and generally tingly lip glosses are out.
B&C Makemania Curvy Lip Silicone has been around for a while now, and this lip gloss is made for creating smoother, plumper, fuller lips. It contains soy bean extract, grapefruit oil and camomile extract.
I have owned this before and didn’t think much of it but this newer shade, Noble Pink 507 caught my eye – it looks like a pretty peach:
Lip Silicone packaging is not remotely glam – it’s just a plan, chubby, plastic container. The gloss also doesn’t look that interesting – the lip silicones are always glitter free and are sheer with a slight tint.
The applicator is unique and quite nice to use. It’s basically like a plastic spatula which seems to dispense quite a generous amount of product. It worked quite well on my lips but if you have thinner lips, use less product.
There is no tingle with the product – good! It is beautifully hydrating and fills in the cracks.
This lip silicone gloss is very good for the plumping effect without the tingle – a nice alternative if you don’t like those kinds of products. The colour is natural and there’s no sparkle or shimmer to it really so bear this in mind if you want something with more oomph.
On the lips:
A pretty, natural, lip enhancing lip gloss that’s really comfortable to wear. It is UBER glossy though, so bear in mind if you don’t like that kind of finish.
I bought mine from Adambeauty.com for about £8 including shipping.
