You guys know that I am obsessed with pencil eyeliner, right? I recently discovered theTaiwan produced brand ‘Solone’ known for their best selling long lasting eyeliners – full review here. I liked the eyeliner enough to purchase more colours…
So here are just some swatched and quick thoughts…
*Sorry mixed up Dark Night (blue) and Star Dust (silver) in the above picture.
From purchasing more colours I’ve realised these eyeliners are NOT created equal.
From the previous haul, Red Wine (a blackened plum with red glitter) and Forest (blackened green with gold glitter) are knockouts. So stunning smudged in, worn as eyeliner or eyeshadow. These new shades are of mixed results.
01 – Silver Black: For ages I’ve wanted a black eyeliner with offensively obvious silver glitter. This black eyeliner is certainly pigmented and creamy but the silver glitter is not so obvious and therefore it just looks like lots of other eyeliners in my brood.
04- Bronze: Rich brown, nothing special- I prefer Urban Decay 24/7 browns and golds to this. Blends poorly, looked muddy on my eye.
08 -Dark Night: Rich deep blue, pretty
12 -Stardust: Not as shimmery as I hoped and a bit dull.
14 Velvet Sky: Light blue, too sheer for my tastes.
I also got Peach Gold (lost it!) which is a golden peach (would you believe!!!)-like Nars Orgasm in an eyeliner. It’s so pretty to look at but I couldn’t get it to work on my waterline.
If you only buy one or two of these, Forest, Red Wine and Jade are my favourites. The rest are ok if you don’t have any eyeliners and you are just collecting your basics.
