Question:So I know a lot of you love Twilight – but the Vampire film as been around for years. So tell me -

What is your favourite Vampire film?

Me:

Mr Vampire – its a really old Hong Kong film. Makes me happy watching it now. Mr C absolutely loves it, which annoys me as I feel like he is stealing my childhood memories.

Oh no, I am sure people would answer this but really, I really love “Twilight” and I can’t wait for “New Moon”, that’s seriously the only vampire film I like to watch :D

I love vampire movies :) If I have to choose one – Interview with the Vampire (followed by Bram Stokers Dracula (1992) and Underworld: Rise of the Licans).

  3. Rachel says

I prefer Zombies. But if I had to choose one vampire film, it has gotta be Interview with the Vampire

  4. says

I haven’t seen any vampire films except part of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, I think, so I’ll say Vampire Princess Miyu; a mildly dark and very interesting anime.

  5. kelily says

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I know it’s a TV series, but it’s my favorite vampire anything of all time!

  6. Kirsten T says

This isn’t really a vampire movie but it involves the undead kinda like vampire right? Resident evil gets my vote… I like Hong Kong’s Mr Vampire too, and I remember pretending to be Mr Vampire as a young girl sticking a yellow post-it on my forehead and hopping around, and it is very tiring.

I’m not into vampire movies so the only one I can think of that I enjoyed was Underworld. Mostly because Kate Beckinsdale is hot :D

  8. says

Another hard one! (PS Vampire Cat made me lol for real!)

I’d have to say Interview with a Vampire, but mainly for the fact that I read all the books and loved them. I’m a dork, much more of a reader than a movie watcher!

In all honesty… All Vampire films of the late are terrible! Even though I say that, my guilty pleasure is Underworld! Blade too but only the third installment which had Ryan Reynolds.. TOPLESS in it<3

@Kelily: Buffy the Vampire Slayer began as a movie, long before the television series.

    I wish I could think of a vampire movie I didn’t hate…

First off, OMG that movie you posted as your favorite just gave me full on nostalgia… my older sister used to play that movie often when I was a kid, and it used to scare the socks off of me (seriously I would have nightmares of the hopping “eunich” vampires LOL). But now when I played your clip, it’s more comedy than horror!

Back to the topic, my favorite vampire film would have to be “Let the Right One In” (2008), a Swedish film directed by Tomas Alfredson. EVERYONE has to watch this movie. It’s unique & marvelously done. That is all. :o)

despite thinking stephenie meyer is a little strange, and twilight books are badly written, i actually think my favourite vampire movie is twilight- because edward doesn’t look as creepy as some other vampires. tis good.

“Interview with the Vampire” , (Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise)

Retaining the frame of a young reporter (Christian Slater) interviewing a man who claims to be a 200-year-old vampire. The man, Louis (Brad Pitt), shares his story, beginning in 18th-century New Orleans with his first encounters with the charismatic and decadent vampire Lestat (Tom Cruise). Lestat converts Louis to blood-sucking and immortality, but Louis fails to adopt Lestat’s cavalier attitude, instead tormenting himself with guilt over his new nature. The two vampires remain deeply, if reluctantly, connected over the years, while becoming intimately involved with others of their kind, including Claudia (Kirsten Dunst), a mature immortal in a young child’s body.

    Dialogue:
Lestat (Tom Cruise) : “I will give you the chose, i never had.” ( i really love this one he says it with the perfect voice.)

Louie(Brad Pitt): “My invasion was open to enyone To whore at my side to the pimp that followed but it was a vampire that accepted”

best vampire movie, still i ? Twilight, me and my sisters will watch it this Nov 20 =)

    hugs and kisses,

Must say Mr Vampire too! I used to watch it allll the time with my brother, and at my age I was half scared, half amused by hopping vampires!

  16. says

Interview with a Vampire for sure, and even though the movie wasn’t fantastic, I really liked Queen of the Damned as well.

For a vampire movie that freaked me out a lot: 30 days of Night made me REALLY appreciate sunlight.

  17. says

I can’t -stand- Twilight, but I love the vampire genre. Movie? …I guess Interview with a Vampire, although I prefer the Sookie Stackhouse books a thousand times over.

  18. says

It’s probably a popular answer, but it’s got to be Interview With A Vampire – it started my love of the blood suckers off, and that’s where books took over.
