Sleek Blush By 3; Pink Lemonade and Californ.i.a, Review and Swatches

Despite the fact I have a huge amount of make up, can you believe I have not yet experienced Sleek Blush By 3 blusher palettes?

These affordable blushers come (as you may have guessed from the name) 3 shades in one mirrored palette.  Each palette has a theme and usually complementary colours. I have two of the newest palettes to try, Pink Lemonade and Californ.i.a:

Both of these palettes are extremely up my street, so to speak; Pink Lemonade a collection of wearable pinks and Californ.i.a. a summery mixture of corals.

The palettes come in the usual Sleek black case which is not too heavy or big to carry around with you. Rather than getting some rubbish brushes in the palette, you just get 3 well sized pans of product:

Californ.i.a is an all cream blush palette in corals and peach.

The shades are:

Newport Peach – More of a pink to me, very rosy sweet pink

The Surf – Light peach, more of a highlighter type shade with glitters

OC – Medium light orange coral – shows up better on the skin than you’d expect.

All of these cream blushers are soft and creamy to feel, and blend easily – they don’t set too quickly and can be layered.  They are nicely pigmented too, as you can see above.  I found that applying the middle shade as a base then one of the others on top gave a nice glow that shows up on my medium toned skin, as I was concerned that it would be too pale.

I am fan of cream blushers and these kinds of colours so this is a win for me!

Pink Lemonade is a mixture of pink colours:

Once again this palette is right up my street!

Icing Sugar – Pale pink with silver shimmer

Macaroon – Cream blusher medium rosy pink

Pink Mint – Pink Peach colour with silvery shimmer

Swatches:

I use the pink cream blush as a base and the powder on top – this is a great way of making the blush last longer! I don’t usually like missing cream and powder shades, because the powder can land on the cream, but in this case it was fine.

I also liked Pink Lemonade very much – I think of the two I preferred this in the end, because I like how there is both a pink and orange shade, and also found the shimmer in the blushers quite flattering.

These palettes are good value considering the price (£9.99) plus they are pigmented and easy to wear.  Blushers are not the first thing most people think of when collecting their first make up collection so these palettes are a nice way of building that library!

Buy the palettes from Sleek make up £9.99 each or from selected Superdrug and Boots stores.
