I have had many many good experiences with Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited lipsticks – their Supreme Shines are gorgeous but the packaging is cack (all mine cracked). Fast forward and Shu have released a new range of Rouge Unlimiteds – 44 shades to be exact!
I purchase one of these a while back off the internet (so I was buying blind) and went for BG911, a nude beige.
The outside packaging of Shu is in plain white, like it has been for a long time!
Here is the lipstick – it looks like a pretty light beige tone right?
FFS, this is light. It is deathly pale, sort of a transvestite, hookerish look, something I might’ve thought was stylish when I was 20, but not anymore.
The lipstick has a very smooth texture though, creamy and less slippy then the supreme shines. It isn’t completely matte though there is a very slight sheen to this colour.
Here it is on my lips. On first dab, it looks ok then as you spread it, it looks lighter! It is far too pale for me:
To give you more context here is a picture of it with the rest of my face – as I am olive skinned this lipstick is just a step too pale for me!
This colour is not for me but the formula is nice enough (although not a stunning as the Supreme Shines). Do you do pale lipstick?
