Purple Eye No. 1: Dr Hauschka Lavender Dreams Eyeshadow Palette

Purple is my no. 1 eyeshadow palette of choice at the moment so stay tuned for a number of Purple themed EOTDs!

Dr Hauschka is known for skincare but I was surprised to learn that they also have a range of make up! I received this set in Lavender Dreams to try out.

This eyeshadow palette comes with 4 shades and is suitable for sensitive skin, and has plant oils and extracts in it.

I am not necessarily the biggest fan of Lavender because I think it’s not as striking as a rich purple. The packaging:

It’s not the nicest packaging you’ll ever see but perhaps it’ll appeal to an older market. It’s pretty plain and a bit…square! I like rounded corners!

Here are the shades:

The colours are a lot more muted than I’d usually go for – there’s a soft cream, mid toned mushroom, a light lavender and a deeper matte purple-lavender.

This eyeshadow, despite not being too thrilling to look at it actually very pretty on and wearable for a work day. It’s so easy to wear! So would I usually pick a palette out like this – no. But it’s surprisingly pretty:

Verdict:

A pretty palette if you want something for everyday make up – something elegant and muted.
