Nip + Fab Dragon’s Blood Fix Daily Cleansing Pads Review

July 19, 2016 |

Over the last month I have been sorting out my skincare box – I have a lot of products (and being a blogger I get to try things I wouldn’t go out and purchase too). The fact is, I just don’t have time to use a ton of products and I get overwhelmed, especially if I am busy and I end up using almost nothing when I can’t decide what to use.

What I have done also, is add a lot of quick fix products to my box of times of extreme exhaustion, which with two small children full time, does happen quite often. Those days when I am so tired I physically cannot stand over the sink and wash my face. I have a Micellar water and I have pads – pre soaked pads of whatever are so handy and useful for when you are tired.

The only reason I purchased Nip + Fab’s Daily Cleansing Pads is because they were half price. I am not taken in by all this ‘Dragon’s Blood’ business, although it sounds nifty. These pads do contains hyaluronic acid and salicylic acid though, and promise to clean the skin without drying out.

I don’t use cleansing wipes often AT ALL and I certainly wouldn’t rely on them for regular cleansing but in am emergency? YEAH! Better than not washing my face at all.

The first thing about these pads which I don’t like is the scent. I reminds me very much of citrus washing up liquid and the smell lingers for a few minutes on my face.  It’s not the end of the world in any way, just something worth noting.

That is the only negative though. These pads are nicely wet but not too wet, they are thin but not too thin and have a textured and smooth side.  It’s easy to pick one pad at a time, and when I wiped this over my face, it took a lot of crap off.  It even removed the mascara that had travelled to under my eyes, although it didn’t remove the mascara from my lashes, it did remove any stains.

Afterwards my skin felt every so slightly sticky but this disappeared in a few minutes.

All in all, these have been a lifesaver and I have no complaints in terms of sensitivity or breakouts when using it, so I will continue to do so.

These are currently half price at £4.97 at Boots.
