I’ve been skincare auditing lately as I move to a more Asian style skincare routine – however my diehard favourite Western brands have made the cut and that includes quite a few products from Kiehls since it is one of the few brands that doesn’t irritate my skin at all (I will go through my new skincare routine soon).
Anyway some new picks for my fellow Kiehls fans;
Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream is one of their core products for drier skins – the lotion version of this is actually the first Kiehls product I ever tried and I still turn it it when my skin is having a freak out – it’s one of those ‘bland’ creams that will hydrate without causing irritations so good for sensitive skin types too.
Their collaboration with Tinie Tempah might seem a bit random, but it’s basically raising money with sales of the specially designed 125ml pot of Ultra Facial Cream for the MTV Staying Alive Foundation, which works to prevent and raise awareness of AIDS. £2 of every pot will go to the charity which adds up, as Kiehls have already donated £2.5 million in the last 10 years for the foundation.
So if you use this cream or want to try it (as I said, fantastic for the colder weather, for sensitive and drier skins and people prone to flare ups like me) you can get it here for £43.50.
Next up is something quite fun, you can now get the iconic Creme de Corps or Ultra Facial Cream personalised for a limited time at Selfridges.
You can get the 500ml Creme De Corps (£45) or 125ml Ultra Facial Cream (£43.50) personalised with the constellation inspired labels. Dates are:
Manchester Exchange: 5th October – 31st October
London Selfridges: 3rd December – 09th December
You don’t have to have a name, there are pre-printed ones (ie. “Best Friend”).
Finally…this is just a preview because I have only been using this for two weeks, but it’s Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate is a new release and is the sister of Midnight Recovery Essence, which I adore. This is a lightweight day time oil – this is just what I need because I am using a lot of hydrating products but that extra layer of oil applied very thinly really seems to seal it all in. The other thing is that it isn’t slimy – you don’t want slime on your face for the whole day.
I will use this for longer before doing a full review of course, but so far, it’s the best day time oil I have used.
