I have never ever bought a wig or even considered buying one. And when I was approached with the chance to choose a wig I said yes – why? Because it’s cool to try new things! Plus I have seen some Asian ladies on YouTube rocking some funky wigs for parties and thought I’d try something totally different.
So here is my choice from the website, Fever Collection. Fever Collection sells costumes, lingerie with a sexy edge and wigs! Lots and lots of wigs! I decided to pick something totally different to what I have – long, curly, auburn hair.
I was surprised that this wig is less than £30 – there so much hair?! It feels so dense and lush. This style is the Isabelle – it is very long and can be styled with heat.
Here is how the wig comes supplied. I also received a wig cap.
The colour is a lot lighter than my own dark hair of course and if I were wearing this out I would give my eyebrows a bleach to lighten them a few shades.
Although if this hair is synthetic (I won’t like, I find the thought of real human hair a bit odd) it doesn’t feel fake or plastic – it feels very smooth, strong and light. I am not saying it feels like human hair, which I think has more variation to it’s texture than this product – this wig is like “ideal” hair because it is so smooth,
It is presented so well I would even gift this to someone if they liked wigs.
I clipped my hair back and put the wig cap on (which is like a pair of tights type of thing) and then slipped it on. It takes a bit of wiggling to get it on (I didn’t exactly master it but it was ok!).
Here is an idea of how it looks! I was surprised by how hot wearing a wig is! how do people wear them out all night! Still it’s a bit of good fun.
The wig I tried is £27.99 from here. There are numerous styles and designs to choose from, all under the £30 mark.
